there are a few asian places which are fairly decent, however to get some really good quality private food establishments you need to drive a ways away from school.

Almost every restaurant is a different one. There is a large variety of coffee shops, fast food places, and sit down places. Many of the places with in walking distance stay open 24-7. Places just a little further are nice places for parties, dates, and get-togethers. A couple places offer discounts to students, and most are cheap. You can definitely tell that the restaurants are centered for college students.

University of South Alabama is near many fast food establishments, anything desired. A few miles away is every well known restaurant wished for including Cracker Barrell, O'Charlies, Chilis, Golden Coral, Fridays, etc. cost is average, variety is excellent, fast food in every direction, variety, you bet. Steak and Shake, Taco Bell, on and on! For myself I like to go home, my Grandmother cooks for us. Can't beat that, noooo! I wish everyone could have home cooking. Yes

There are plenty places to eat around campus they are convenient and the cost is great. There are a few places that offer student discounts and some do not. The ones that do not offer discounts are still reasonably priced. One of my favorite place is Picklefish, its a little pizza place that is only in mobile and its right across the street from the campus.
