There are people of many different races. You may come across a few rednecks, but they're not many. Most people are white. Other races are growing rapidly

University of South Carolina Beaufort campus has everything you need. A fitness center, library, computer labs, just to name a few.

Apartments in the area are very expensive. There are many that's available but too much to afford. If living off campus, you would have to provide you're own transportation.

There are the beach and many places to dine and shop. This area is where a lot vacations.

There are not many athletics at the University. We have golf, softball, soccer, and track

Dining off campus is decent. There is a variety of different chain restaurants and coffee shops.

Off campus housing is hard to find, pretty expensive and not safe.
College Junior 2013-07-26T03:12:49Z
There is no public transportation, you have to have your own vehicle in order to travel

Nothing to do in Beaufort so far, my friends and i go travel an hour to Charleston or half an hour to Savannah

Weather in the winter can be cold and rainy but spring is generally warm and sunny with showers here and there.
College Sophomore 2013-07-12T23:42:04Z
There are parties to go to at the end of the week but many get shutdown. Best to do your own thing, make plans with people, find good location off campus

The police force is always present. Any car found on campus grounds without the proper decal is subjected to be towed at the owner's expense.

Local areas such as Courtney Bend and Austin Chase are great places off campus that students will enjoy residing. These apartment houses are like vacation condos year round and they are very affordable with almost every amenity down to security. Very close to the university.

The campus is small, but absolutely gorgeous. The buildings were recently built and a new one seems to built or added to every semester. The architecture is beautiful and there's quiet places to study or just relax anywhere you go. The library is fully stocked to help you with any of your study or leisure reading. There's a volleyball and basketball court, as well as a firepit- which many students take full advantage of in the winter to make some s'mores.

There is always something going on campus; also, the beach, the bustling city of Savannah (I recommend the candy stores!), and a historic downtown Beaufort, are only a few miles away. There are at least fifty different clubs to join and the campus offers day trips such as rafting and museum tours with your fellow classmates.

Guys & Girls:
There's a wide range of types of students at USCB. You can find a niche of friends in whatever you may be interested in. Sports, science, or even others to share an old fashioned "low country boil" with. Everyone is always friendly and ready to have a conversation.
College Sophomore 2013-07-02T18:16:44Z
Cost of a parking decal for both semesters was not high at all, and very worth it- if you lived on campus. Off campus students had a lot more parking spaces, but also much farther away. The best spaces were taken quickly so off campus students needed to allow for walking time.

Health & Safety:
Security is nice and friendly, I've never seen any incidents take place at the school that even needed security to step in. Super safe campus, great students!

The freshman/underclassman dorm is very nice. They are all quads with two bathrooms and apartment style. I loved my room mates and had a great time. They had all the amenities for a compfortable accomodations.

I will be entering program and adding the hospitality for a double major. I feel this will enhance more opportunities in the job market
College Sophomore 2013-07-02T11:58:58Z
The campus life is very meek. They really need to add alot of social events and sport teams. There is no intramural or co-ed fun athletic sports. They need to add a field house with track, gyms, courts, swimming pool. Football is the number one money maker for all athletics, this should of been the priority to add to USCB and generate revenue, along with school spirit
College Sophomore 2013-07-02T11:55:32Z
The location of USCB is really nice. It is close to the beaches for weekends. However there is no school spirit or enthusiasm. This campus is just a continuation of High School for alot of the local students. The drama and same things they did in high school carry over. They need to add sport teams and sorority & fraternity houses. More student living that the police dont tell you to be quiet at 10:00PM.
College Sophomore 2013-07-02T11:50:52Z
The program seems fine and I do like the smaller school and classes. If I were to start over, I however would have chosen a college that had more to offer academically and socially
