Our school can seem very diverse but at the same time, I primarily face a student body full of whites. Although, it is easy to find this diversity if you look in the right places. There are many groups throughout campus that support this diversity.

Many of the computers are being upgraded, but there are still some that are a few years old.

The registration process is straight forward, and professors are willing to help if you run into problems. There are plenty of special study options in many different fields, like P.E, art yoga and outdoor activities.

The workload is heavy but managable. I feel like I have gained a thorough understanding of accounting, what is expected of an intern and what will be tested on the CPA exam. The teachers are all very knowledgable and passionate about their subjects, with stories and situations from things that they have dealt with in their career.

There are plenty of options in plenty of price ranges.
College Junior 2013-05-20T23:03:04Z
The computers are typically always full in the library, especially around finals time. Printing is quite expensive. Certain majors, like journalism, have free printing because of the amount of printing necessary, but for everyone else it can get pricey. Network speed tends to be quite slow, especially at peak times when everyone is on attempting to complete their work. It is not very reliable at all.

I don't know too terribly much about Greek Life, but from what I've heard, they have a great system and are quite prevalent on campus. They have many fundraising opportunities and throw many parties on the weekends. It is a large part of the campus community that many students join each semester.

I would say that the Russell House dining hall has many options for anything you could be craving or feel like eating. It does, however, tend to get very old after awhile and new food options are desired. The late times of the sub restaurant, Horseshoe Deli, are extremely convenient, especially during late night study sessions. Overall, Russell House has many diverse food options that typically appeal to everyone.

Health & Safety:
We have our very own health clinic which offers a number of different services to students. The pharmacy is very convent too. Safety is also very good on campus because there are a number of on duty campus police who are certified police officers and around campus are 911 call boxes with cameras mounted on top.

The computers are very up to date and in the library they offer a whole 'apple' lab which is full of apple brand computers to fit everyone's needs.

The off-campus dining options are wonderful and also tasty.
Check out Moes and Monereys

It rains a lot. It's also super hot in August. It can get pretty cold in the winters. You definitely experience all of the seasons.

Even if you have a parking permit it's a nightmare. Getting to campus at least 30 minutes early is recommended. After 5 it's a free for all on spaces.

Food is good, but I got tired of eating at the same places every week. The best places to eat were Verde and Gibbes

Dorms had really bad mold problems this year. Dorms are open to everyone, but there are too many students (1st year freshmen) to guarantee housing to anyone but the incoming freshmen. Also the quality of the rooms is not what is expected. Security was lacking pretty hard. I lived in a dorm that only had keypass locks which broke often and entrance doors that didn't lock well/were easily opened without a key.

The drug scene on campus is generally Marijuana. Off campus cocaine and molly are easily found and visible. Around finals prescriptions are common

Living in the dorm room my first year was by far the best experience of my life. I met so many great people and it offered way more than a regurlar high school would offer.

They have manly off campus housing places in Columbia that are really close to campus.

I came to the University of South Carolina because it seemed like a very diverse and different school. They also have a amazing schooling

To be a athletic training major is a great opportunity. Being at the University of South Carolina has a great program to help get you started towards your future career. Each teacher seems to give a fair workload and the curriculum is great. The University of South Carolina has wonderful facilities. They are also very clean. The university also gives plenty of chances for internships and even job opportunities. They offer a work study.

The fan base of the sports and school spirit are at an all time high!

There are a great deal of parks to choose from, however, these parks are on a first come, first serve basis.

It depends where you go to use a computer. The computer in the library are really nice to use but if you try to rent one from Gambrel....well good luck.

I dont really use the transportation provided. the shuttle schedule seems a bit confusing but available.
College Sophomore 2013-05-13T00:58:37Z
The basic dining hall food is okay but definitely not the best. However, there are other places in the building to get food so it's not that bad.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
