I am an Exercise Science Major, and overall I have been pretty satisfied. It is not an easy major, and you will definitely need to put time in to study, but that does not mean I haven't had time for fun. My main grievance toward the Exercise Science department is how my advisement has gone and issues I have had with scheduling.

Guys & Girls:
There are a variety of people at USC. Most of the guys on campus are in Greek Life, as well as the girls. The girls that attend USC are very HOT. You wont find a better crop of females than at this fine University. Yoga pants and sun dresses all day every day.

The food in Russell House is pretty decent, chicken finger wednesday is by far the best time of the week. Honors college dining is by far the best food on campus, but there isnt really anything that is that bad.

The police force is very strict. They used to be more lenient, but lately there presence has been very strong and they are annoying more than anything. Often, if you get in trouble with the police they will report you to the school and your scholarships will be in jeopardy.

The downtown is awesome and there are a lot of bars to choose from. Cops can be strict though so you have to be careful to not get in trouble. If you are underage, there are plenty of apartment parties to go to.

USC is attempting to become a tobacco free campus. Also, drugs and alcohol are definitely opposed and fines due to each charge are posted throughout the entire school. The first charge for alcohol is $250 and the first charge for marijuana is $350 plus being drug tested for a semester or more.

There are students from many different countries, as well as many out of state students. This provides a melting pot of a large quantity of students from different upbringings and customs, which can be shared, learned, or taught while here at school.

It's very windy in Columbia, no matter if it's raining or the sun is out. South Carolina weather flip flops from day to day anyway, so it varies likewise in Columbia.

There are shuttle buses among campus that transport students instead of them always having to walk. There are also local buses since USC is located in the capital city of Columbia, South Carolina. Taxis are fairly expensive, but students have to get around somehow if they do not have a car or bus access. Parking is somewhat unrealistic, and to get a reserved parking spot in a parking garage, you can pay up to $340. Meters are free after 6pm. Students may also pay to park anywhere year round for $60-$80.

I absolutely love University of South Carolina! There is so much opportunity here and the professors are always willing to help. Going to a larger school definitely benefited me as a PR major.

A typical internship that I experienced was working for an author as her head Public Relations intern. I learned a lot about the outside media and the appropriate mediums used for each of them.

I love my program at school, I am a PR major and I love the staff that we have here! They are always willing to help and are always giving advice, just find the time to go and talk to them. Alot of PR is based on experience and asking questions, so ask!

It isn't too difficult to get into the Mass Communications and Journalism school at USC. There is certain grade point average and such that you need, but for the most part anyone can be accepted. I do know it is easier to start off in the school than trying to transfer from a different one.

My place (guess) is very available. I don't have to waste bucks on it. It is convenient to have a whole room to myself. With different mood changes -there are responses on my side that don't land me in trouble. It is very safe too. The con is- it is quite far, so...

Guys & Girls:
They are very normal people of course but the fact is, you either know them or you don't. But I can say proudly that a stranger USC student on a USC street will not be rude to you.

Guys & Girls:
USC has a wide variety of cultures and styles here. You will find people in pajamas or sweatpants, leggings, yoga pants, etc. There are people who like to dress up and look nice every day. There are all kinds of styles from preppy, to "punk" to full-bodied camouflage. South Carolina has great warm weather almost all year round so most of the time sundresses or short shorts and tank tops are popular for girls while guys live in khakis or gym shorts. Students here have all types of different styles depending on their own taste. Out of state students love it because its new to them and they get a taste of the South.

The computers themselves are great because they all have access to any resource you need provided by the university. The internet is pretty fast and they are open to all students. The only downside is that University provided computers/labs are very crowded during busy weeks like midterms and exams week.

Financial aid given by the school is very limited unless you qualify for need-based grants/scholarships or have an exceptional SAT/ACT score. I come from a middle class family, I did well in high school, got a 1220 on the SAT and a 29 on the ACT and received only $500 a year from the school. The only upside is that I did not have to apply for it. As the school reviews your application for acceptance they will award you with the correct amount of scholarships and it shows up on your student USC profile immediately.

The transportation at USC is reliable. They have multiple bus systems that run daily. They also have parking garages throughout the campus. If one did not have a car it is relatively easy to get rides.
