Shuttles Avaliable, Insufficient Parking – There are many shuttles avaliable on campus but these are not always practical. Parking is available but it is expensive and not well organized. However, I do recommend having a car and a parking spot!

Everything from the Thomas Cooper Library to the Strom Thurmond Gym to the Russell House Student Union are specifically created to help students feel welcomed and comfortable. I have thoroughly enjoyed taking full advantage of the opportunities to use the facilities on campus.

Very Competitive Mjor – My major is International Business. This major is incrediably competitive but there are many resources avaliable at the school to help you on your journey to success. I really enjoy the classes as well as the professors. There is a lot of work involved but if it is a major you are really interested in the work won't seem so bad!

Proffesor's are so nice and always willing to help out. There are some really great classes available but can be hard to get into as a freshman. There are tons of special projects you can get involved in as well.

Since the school is so big the grants go quickly so its hard to get financial aid. You need to fill out fafsa and be one of the first to send it in.

I love the University of South Carolina! Its an amazing balance between your social life and your school life. The fans are die hard, so football season is the best. You do have to work hard in school but the return is just as beneficial. and you have more opportunities here!

5 Points – As far as the bar/club scene. Its pretty much 21 and up so if your underage you don't have options. House parties are your best bet. Also the cops have cracked down so don't even think about using a fake id if you are underage! Its already a stupid idea but you will either go to jail or get a ticket.

I Can Tell You a Little About This – It sucks unless you are willing to pay a large amount for a spot in a garage, but it is in South Carolina's capitol, you can't expect to magical find spots everywhere you turn.

I'm wondering how I should answer questions about a school I haven't started going to yet, but from what I heard, Greek Life is great for the grade point average, the networking, and community service, and parties.

Everything at the main campus of University of South Carolina is great. The cafeteria has a great variety and great healthy options. When you don't want to eat in the cafeteria, there are plenty of places you can go for a wide variety of tastes and budgets.

Health & Safety:
I am a student at the University of South Carolina's College of Nursing through a distance education program attended at the Salkehatchie East (Walterboro) and West (Allendale) campuses. Our tuition, class/lab fees, and book fees are the same as the main campus but overall safety is often overlooked. We have maintenance men who ride on golf carts throughout the day but after our night classes, we are forced to walk through dark parking lots in depressed neighborhoods where violent crime is an everyday occurrence. Generally, my fellow students and I rarely feel safe after dark at both Salkehatchie's campuses.

I feel that the major requirements need some revamping because when I entered into my major i was told to become a biology major because I wanted to become a doctor however I do not believe that it has benefited it me very well but it has encouraged me to persue other careers such as a PhD.

Never Lived on Campus. Never lived on campus. Know through friends that the University has many options.

I live off- campus. Most places around campus have specials through out the week. Also many will include a 10-20% off for students with a student id. So many great places around with a wide variety of choices.

So Much to Offer. I study at the University of South Carolina. I am in the College of Social Work. The campus is wonderful. The University has much to offer to everyone. General classes are large but once in your major, class are smaller and more direct.

Awesome Gym, Great Horseshoe – Russell House is basically the go-to place. Need a book, they got it (although they're a little more overpriced than the SC bookstore on Greene). Food? Of course. Lots of places to eat, and Santorini's is one of the best places for your money and your appetite. The libraries are nice, and they're great to study in. The Strom Thurmond fitness center is amazing. It's brand new, and there are lots of different things to do. There's a sauna, pools, lots of gym equipment, and even a rock wall.

Professors Care, for the Most Part. Most professors that I have had have been very enthusiastic about the subjects that they teach. I think this may have been the case because I was in honors classes, but it was always very good. Most professors really do care that you do well in their class. The registration process is a little hectic, since classes aren't guaranteed, but I know it is difficult to make it perfect with such a large student body. A lot of professors are not very good at speaking English, but there are classes for that.

There is not a big drug scene that I ever saw. Drinking is much more popular especially during football season.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
