Strictness Depends on Your Living Situation – At USC, depending on where you live on campus determines the level of strictness. Some places require you to sign in guests and others have a visitation policy. While others do not have visitation policies and are really not strict at all. Most upperclassman housing is not strict at all while underclassman housing has its rules and regulations. For the most part USC does not limit what its students can and cannot do. They provide safe transportation and lots of security for students to be safe and have fun.

So Many Options and Prices to Choose from – Being in the heart of Columbia, there are places to eat everywhere. It isn't like a small town where you have only a few restaurants. Columbia has everything! If you do want to leave campus there are plenty of dining options. From expensive to cheap, you can have it.

Great With Lots of Options – The Russell House dining hall has everything you can imagine. From the grill, salad area, daily specials, and also the health conscious area all downstairs there is something for everyone. Not to mention the fast food upstairs. I absolutely love the dining at USC. You can get things all over campus and not to mention there are different types of food every where. Italian, Greek, sandwiches, bagels, American, and anything else you can imagine, you can find it at USC.

Best Ive Seen – We have the two largest fitness centers in the country and one is brand new and very high tech. We have a great library with several stories underground. And not a day goes by that one fails to notice the aesthetics of the grounds, simply stunning.

Tortoise Pcs in a Mac World – All of the computers run on a terrible network, and most are outdated PCs and they should be Macs. The macs on campus are in the arts schools they are nice and mostly available.

South Carolina is normal for the finding of apartments. They have a message board but the prices are sort of high.

Differences on Campus – There is some diversity on campus, of course, but most of the campus contains white americans. But on te other hand there a various political and religious beliefs that students openly share. And as as sexual orientation, students have no worries about showing them either

Health & Safety:
Safety on Campus – The campus provides multiple "911 call" button poles within reach all over campus, so you cant miss them, just in case of danger, plus there are many guards and campus polices that are around. So I would say it is safe.

The University of South Carolina i located in Downtown Columbia, South Carolina. It is really busy in this area, and many students are in the streets, so you would have to be an extremely careful pedestrian and driver. There are many historical attractions such as theaters, museums, buildings and parks. Also, you will notice alot of Roman/Greek architecture, such as columns and building styles.

Greek System – You can find what you are looking for here. Plenty of options. The parties/formals are great and having five points is always a nice alternative. Tailgates are one of a kind.

Large University? The situation at USC is one I imagine to be pretty typical at most large institutions - while not every class is taught by an amazing teacher, there are certainly quite a few "diamond in the rough" professors, including your Oxford and Harvard PhDs. Smart students who are interested will latch on to them, and those that aren't, won't. A pretty effective system, actually.

There are plenty of parking options available. You pay more to park in close just like a lot of schools.

The school is full of historical buildings. The are plenty of modern buildings as well. The new construction fits in well with the old.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
