We Are Animals – between the the greek life and 5 points the is mooore than enough nightlife and parties for even the most seasoned party vets. the hardest thing about it is trying to fit it all in

Cant Be Beat – Our campus is beautiful with all the perks of a large city and a vibrant nightlife, top notch sports and the best greek scene. Nothing is better

All out sports are fantastic. Football is like a religion, baseball is a huge deal and always a national contender, and our basketball team is usually one of the best in the SEC

Already wearing shorts and heading to the beach this weekend. It's an easy trip there in back could do it in a day if you wanted but you meet enough people from there you always can find a place to stay. Love the warm weather and seeing everyone at the Strom or on the Horseshoe.

Just reading articles you will see that the school is headed in the right direction. Each year enrollment grows by leaps and bounds. The school has hired top notch consultants to lead us in the right direction. Classes are challenging but there is plenty of academic support if you need it.

Being a greek in the SEC is unlike anywhere else. Our tailgates are bigger and bettered then other schools. Greek village is so much nicer then the dumps I've been to at other schools. Parties are one thing but to have to live where everyone else throws up or...is nasty. Thankfully there are plenty of places to go in 5 Points.

Baseball/ Football – Won the college World Series last year. Baseball games are well attended and a great place to see people. SEC football and just picked up the number 1 recruit in the nation. Football only keeps getting better and better.

Drugs Are Not Much of a Problem Here. Although there are some drug users here or there, I haven't really had a problem with being pressured to use anything. It seems to be a culture within college culture. Rather than pestering others to start, most people seem to understand that if someone is not using a substance, they have their own reasons for abstaining and those reasons are respected. I have never felt ill at ease as a result of drugs being on campus. College is a time when most people want to experiment and see what else the world has to offer. That's fine by me. Live and let live.

Sports Clubs Are Definitely Worth Joining. The students at USC are huge fans of virtually all the sports we have available- not just the varsity athletics. Even when the teams are not winning, most of us will stay to watch the rest of the game. School spirit is quite apparent on game day for any given sport. Each sport has its die-hard fans for sure. We all enjoy the older Solomon Blatt exercise facility and the newer Strom Thurmond Fitness and Wellness Center. There is almost always a group exercise class in session and most of them are fun to join. I have really enjoyed rock climbing, jiu jitsu, and Ultimate frisbee.

Great Friends in a Not-So-Great Residence Hall. I really enjoy living on campus because I now know many of the people from my school. It is much easier to stay involved on campus since most of the organizations are 15 or 20 minutes away when walking. The only downside to my dorm is that it is one of the oldest buildings with the smallest rooms. I am fine with that since it is also the least expensive one to live in. Utilities are covered and luxuries like cable are provided. It was difficult for me to get into housing since USC had its largest freshman class by 500 students the year I started attending.

The Good, the Bad, and the Greek – The campus provides a great feel during they day there are tons of places to sit and hang out. However, as soon as 5 o'clock rolls around campus is dead and everyone leaves because most upperclassmen live off campus. The off campus hosing is incredible with tons of variety and amenities so who can blame them. Greek life is big at this school which creates a divide between the greeks and non greeks which seems unnecessary to me (I am in a sorority). There are a lot of opportunities for social activities like greek functions, sporting events and nightlife like bars in 5 points. Academically I feel like my teachers and advisers are kind of slack in providing with co-op opportunities and it's more about who you know to get a good internship. This makes me wish I had picked a school that really pushed their co-op program. I do enjoy being here most of this time but I don't have any other school to compare it to!

Need to Prioritize – I'm not really a big drinker but the police have been in my hall before. I have a friend who is currently on probation for smoking weed and has to get drugged tested spontaneously. Unfortunately with this system he gets a phone call and has to get his own transportation to the testing center within a certain amount of time. That system needs work. As far as academic probation goes I don't know much about that but I know lots of students are failing so I assume they aren't really doing their jobs. It seems like the University focus's their discipline more on drinking than on academics.

Tons of Variety & Affordability but Not Always Student Friendly – There is a huge variety of off-campus dining available if you have a car, and few options within walking distance. There is a large variety suitable to every budget in the vista including Carolina Ale House and Mellow Mushroom. There are some fast food restaurants available as well, but I probably wouldn't walk to them at night, as a girl I wouldn't consider it safe. If you are willing to drive farther away there is anything you could ever crave for at the Columbiana Mall area which fits any budget. The one disadvantage is that unlike many other universities there aren't any off campus dining that accepts Carolina Cash which is disappointing.

Great parties, Greek Village – Haven't seen any other Greek row the compares to our Greek village. Not to mention the parties. Can't say it enough but Greek life in the SEC is in a league of it's own. Tailgates are a bunch of good looking people having a great time getting to watch the greatest teams in college football.

Shorts in January,. Ya we had snow but then I was wearing shorts the next week. Spring comes early and students start heading to the beaches when the weathers warmer. Easy drives usually less then 2 hours. Or they stay and hang out at the pools or nearby lakes.

Guys & Girls:
Good-looking Campus – Just walk around and you will see what I mean. People care about their appearance. The Strom is always there for students to work out in and meet other people. Spring and Fall are the best times because everyone is outside. Students are polite and happy.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
