College Prowler Take
The drug scene at USC is not highly visible but exists nonetheless. Marijuana is the most common drug of choice, but a students can find almost anything if they really want to. The prominence of the drug scene depends on the crowd a student chooses to associate with. When students do choose to get high, they usually do it in privacy with their circle of friends or at parties. You will not see students pressuring anyone else into doing drugs because people are more concerned about using it for their own entertainment rather than making money by selling it. But if a student wants the drugs, they are there for the taking. Alcohol stands alone in terms of consumption frequency and ease of attainment. Students of all ages drink in the dorms, in bars, and at parties. Unfortunately, even those who don’t drink are sometimes vexed by its consequences. Whether it’s the stench of barf in the elevator because someone couldn’t hold their liquor, or the loud hall mates who wake you up in the wee hours of the morning, alcohol affects everyone. There is no way to escape exposure to it, but then again, there is rarely peer pressure to drink if you don’t want to. The extent of a student’s exposure to drugs really depends on their friends and the atmosphere in which they live.

Obviously, drinking is a huge thing on and off campus. I don't know too many people who do drugs, and I haven't really seen much drug activity. If people are doing drugs, they're just smoking at the hookah bar or having a cigarette between classes.

Drugs are a fact of life at USC, but there are always going to be some who do it and some who don't. Smoking is probably the biggest on campus, but drinking is bigger.

I don't think the drug scene is very big on campus. It is a college campus, so naturally you're going to find drug use, but I've only ever seen people smoking weed.

Every college campus has its drug...
Every college campus has its drug scene. You don’t have to look very far to find someone that uses or knows someone that uses drugs. However, it’s not that sort of situation where everyone’s doing it. |

I really don’t know what to say about the drug scene other than that if you want it, you will probably be able to somehow get your hands on it with as many college students as there are in this city. |
