It's very difficult to get any substantial aid if you come from out of state.

Before college, I took two dual-enrollment courses in high school. I did excellent in one while not so great in the other. For some reason, my course with the bad grade was the only one that showed up at my university. So I had to show them my other course as well as write multiple letters in order to get my scholarships and loans. The process took about two months.

I wish I could've gotten more scholarship money (that's why I'm doing a survey to be entered to win $$), but the scholarship was definitely better than most other schools I applied to. The financial aid office also has drop in hours every weekday from 8:30 am- 5pm so that you can get help finding scholarships

I was able to receive a great scholarship which reduced my tuition by thousands of dollars and it has helped me out a lot. I would suggest applying for any of the scholarships you can because you never know what you'll be awarded.
