Advice on Finding a Job/Internship Most students will use their own networking opportunities to find their first jobs or internships. USD departments are usually the first place to go when looking for such information, and several of the department’s alumni keep in touch in an effort to recruit USD graduates. But, if you’re still worried, the USD Career Development Center is open daily to help students prepare résumés and interviews, search for employment, and provide key tips to getting your foot in the door. Stay up-to-date with your department’s internship and job opportunities. From the minute you enter your department to the minute you leave, it’s important to make a good impression with faculty, as they are often the key to finding an internship or job. Also, be sure to occasionally check the Career Development Center’s Web site for updated information.
