Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

It’s not difficult to find attractive members of the opposite sex around campus. Girls can spot some incredible eye candy in the weight room as the football players pump iron. Guys can catch USF’s loveliest ladies basking in the summer sun in tank tops, shorts, and summer dresses. The more academically-minded students at USF are able to find at least a few hotties in their classes, and these sexy guys and girls might actually have more than half of a brain! Even the University’s pickiest students find someone to crush on by the end of the semester. Whether it is a serious relationship or a not-so-serious hookup that students are looking for, USF has something for both the guys and the girls.

Parties are excellent ways to meet people, but students should be careful not to allow their homeboys and homegirls to do things they’ll regret the next day. Just ask any of the guys and girls who have woken up in some unnamed creature’s bed after a blackout episode, afraid to even look at the face of the person lying next to them. Bars are also great ways to meet other students, but girls and guys should know their limits when it comes to alcohol, and these limits shouldn’t be pushed unless people are willing to suffer the consequences.

It's Florida

Like most campuses, there's more guys than girls. I've seen a few cute guys and there's plenty of chances to meet them. Most everyone dresses the same (Hollister, Amercrombie, etc) and it's Florida so, of course, the universal shoes are flip flops. Weekends at USF are dull and empty. Seriously, almost everyone goes home since this is a predominately commuter school. Almost NO cars are on the street, it's completely dead.

Diverse

At University of South Florida you will find all different types of girls, many into partying and then there's many that are nerdy. Guys are also very diverse, there's the typical small city country guys, as well as big city guys. There are many transfer students as well, which makes the campus a very diverse one.

Social Scene

With so many things going on at USF, students who seek the attention of the opposite sex should have no problem receiving plenty of it. Men have the advantage because there are more women than men at USF. This is especially true on campus, where some of the dorms are designed specifically for women. People at USF interact all of the time, making it so that even the shyest students have the opportunity to meet new people.

Hookups or Relationships?

It depends on how much alcohol is involved when potential partners meet. Random hookups are common with those involved in fraternities or sororities and those who are constantly partying, but the tamer students at USF prefer long-term, serious relationships.

Dress Code

USF students wear a variety of clothing types. On any given day, you will see students wearing jeans and a T-shirt, dress clothes, shorts and flip-flops—anything. Students' clothing ranges from "Walmart clothes" to high-end designer threads.
