USF Is Extremely Diverse from Many Perspectives

USF can be found in an urban area within Tampa. Students of many different ethnic, economic, political, religious, and sexually-oriented backgrounds attend USF. There is an organization for just about every perspective and background. Without a doubt, new college students can expect to have their eyes opened and learn about dozens of different views, cultures, and backgrounds when they attend USF. The best thing about USF's diversity is that every student can acquire a culturally diverse and accepting perspective without being pressured or pushed by people with differing beliefs.

Notoriously Bad

You will most likely not find a spot on campus at USF. If you do happen to find one, you will most likely not have the right permit to park there and they WILL ticket you. I have gotten 3 parking tickets in 2 years and they have a terrible warning system. Also, parking permits are not cheap.

Nightlife

Ybor is only about 20 minutes away and downtown. Great nightlife!

Not Completely Sure

To be honest, I rarely go out, but when I do there are plenty of clubs if you want to go to somewhere like Ybor. I'm not sure of the ones closer though.

Weather at USF

HOT.

But honestly the weather is not that bad throughout the year. It's almost always beautiful with a gorgeous sun in the sky.

The Bull-Runner

The Bull-Runner is a nice amenity at the University of South Florida. Instead of walking long distances to classes across campus from each other, you can just hop on the student bus and get where you need to go quickly.

Commuter

Though I do not live on campus, I have visited the dorms. They are neat, clean, and quiet. They have a nice social atmosphere surrounded with friendly students, however the cost is hard to afford without student loans.

Campus Safety

The campus at USF is a well maintained campus with staff supervision at all times, although the campus is very calm. Every so often in the day The police is here to make sure that everyone is driving at speed limits and safely.

Southern to Soflo

The types of guys and girls vary a lot wheter it is Southern people or South Floridians.

Diversity at Its Finest

University of South Florida is an extremely diverse college with people from not only different ethnic/racial backgrounds but as well as religion and economic status.

Mass Communications

Mass communications at USF has some of the best professors in the whole college. The classes teach you so much, but aren't terribly difficult.

Andros

As an RA alum, the Andros dorms may not be the newest or nicest, but they do have the most character. The residents are the nicest and almost like family.

Marshall Center

The facilities at USF are top notch. There are multiple great places to hang out, eat, or study but the Marshall center is undoubtedly the best. It is state of the art.

Weather

classes get cancelled at times but florida usually has great weather

Student Center

The Marshall Center is currently being rebuilt. So far it is looking wonderful, but not finished. I would like to see more facilities where students do not have to leave campus to go do everyday things (except grocery shopping of course). I think it would be beneficial to have a campus salon and drug store for prescriptions for students who can not leave campus because they do not have a vehical.

So Many Clubs

Although I'm not the clubbing type, I've heard of a LOT of clubs that are in the area of campus. Not to mention the typical frat parties that are on every college. If clubbing is what you are into, it win't be hard to find a club to go to, and also to find somebody to go with.

Plenty of on School Activities to Meet Others

There is always something going on every night, school sponsored and friend hosted ones.

Places to Go

The food options are pretty good, we have a Chickfila, Moes, Subway, Beef o' bradys, a chinese food place, and a major dining hall restaurant. Ive heard there are more options scattered through campus. However, those are the ones I have found so far.

Unique USF

I give USF a A+ in the academics because the whole school cares about you class. Since I run track and Cross Country I'm always busy, and I thought that coaches would not too much care about there classes, but I was wrong they really enforce school and make sure you get the best education possible, They also want you to finish school in 4 years and recommend that one take 5 classes a semester.

Convenience

There are many apartments made for USF students. It surrounding the school. If the aparts are not across the street the Bull Runner, which is our local college bus will take you to school especially if one does not have a car.

USF Tampa

The local atmosphere is very pleasant. I have yet to encounter any illegal activities around the campus area. Overall, it is awesome. Busch Gardens and Adventure Island are just minutes away from campus. If you love going to the mall and hanging out with friends, the University Square Mall is just about 5 minutes from campus. You can even walk there. Yes, it's that close and that safe. In addition, the city revolve around the school. Almost every stores give students discount, even the barbershops and beauty salons. If you want to experience the real college life, come to the University of South Florida. The school is excellent, plenty of activities to get involve in, resources to sharpen your mind, and the women are just lovely. Go Bulls!!!

A Challenge for All

I came to USF because of the well known engineering program and for ROTC. The teachers are enthusiastic about their jobs and they are very knowledgable in their subject. The ROTC program here at USF has to be one of the best in the state of Florida. It is hard to get one on one help from some teachers but there is always tutoring in the library to accommodate your needs. As for the work load, there are many hours needed to spend outside of class in order to succeed.

Clubs, Parties, and More

The University of South Florida is close to Ybor City, which is home to many restaurants and clubs. On any given Friday night, one can see many students going out to Ybor City. There are also parties that are thrown by the fraternities and sororities. Many students can be seen going to these. Still, there is the option to just hang out with friends. Many students can be found in their rooms or their friends' rooms playing video games, listening to music, or watching TV.

A Nice Town.

Tampa has great weather and is close to beautiful beaches. Ybor city is a hip place to hang out with friends and eat, relax and dance. There are many sporting events, and the parks in this area are wonderful. There are bike trails and space to just chill.

Living in a Dorm Room

Living on campus was the best experience of college, being surrounded by your peers who all have the same goal, that is to get some homework done, is a great support system.
