Tampa is not a college town, but there is a lot to do here: beach, Busch Gardens, the aquarium, great parks.

Parking is difficult if you get to campus between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. I usually go early to get things done. Parking is no problem if you live on campus, though.

There are locations all over campus to find food, though much of it is expensive. The new student center includes many options, including a Beef O Bradys.

For the most part, the teachers here are quite good. On occasion, you get a teacher who is there to just make your life difficult, but everyone will leave USF with one teacher in mind who left a great impression. |

For the most part, teachers are good. The problem is when you get a bad one they’re normally really, really, bad. |

The teachers are great teachers....
The teachers are great teachers. They really know the material, and during their office hours, they do what they can to help the students understand. The classes are, for the most part, very interesting; otherwise, I would not be taking them. There are some classes that have to be taken because the major requires these classes. Some of these classes can be very boring. |

A few years ago, you would always hear of car break-ins and stuff like that. I don’t live on campus now, so I don’t know what it’s like for residents. As the campus has been growing, they have been putting in more of the emergency call boxes, which are good for students. |

I am a sophomore who just moved off campus. It is very convenient. It allows more freedom, rooms of your own, and, in most cases, it’s either the same price or cheaper. |

I think the campus is very diverse. I just love when people are talking in a foreign language and I hear them. I don’t know if they are talking about me, but it is a good sign—I love it.

Always watch your drink. Ybor is fun as first, but it gets really old after a while. People that like to play pool can go to Peabody’s, which is the only good place to play pool around here. |

Many Student Apartments, but Expensive.
B-
There are definitely a lot of off-campus housing, however it can get a little pricey. It is cheaper than living on campus and you can take the bus to campus if you live near the bus stop. It is easy to find an apartment but you just have to find the right one in your price range.

Extra Curricular Activities
A+
My school's marching band is amazing. It isn't a typical marching band where you come to practice, do what you have to do, and then leave. Here at USF, we are a close knit family who has each other's backs. It is a great feeling knowing that you have people to turn to if you need help with anything.

Teachers Are Very Devoted
A+
I came to the University of South Florida originally for Engineering. After changing my major to Exercise Science, it was great. The teacher's are really nice and teach in interactive ways that make lessons fun and entertaining. Professors make the time to meet with you if there are any questions that need answering.

The Life Near Campus
A
Tampa is a huge city where there is a lot to do. Living near the University of South Florida is great. There are many restaurants and attractions near by. The campus is a place where you can go and take a stroll, or run, sit on a bench and read a book. A few highway exits away, there is a huge mall and Raymond James Stadium where the Tampa Bay Bucs and the USF bulls play.

Love It Here
A
I love the fact that this school is not as competitive as some other universities are. There's some pressure, but not so much that you're worried about your future at the school.

Too Many Cars Per Parking Spot
C
Depending on the time and day, parking can be absolutely horrible. It doesn't affect me as much because I live on campus, but if I want to drive closer to my class so I don't have to walk as far, it's nearly impossible to find a parking spot.

Greek life...what a waste
D+
I went Greek my freshman year. It was a total waste of time. They were all just greedy, money hungry snobs. Once I dropped out, no one kept in contact with me. They're very selective and rude.
