Places to Go

The food options are pretty good, we have a Chickfila, Moes, Subway, Beef o' bradys, a chinese food place, and a major dining hall restaurant. Ive heard there are more options scattered through campus. However, those are the ones I have found so far.

Unique USF

I give USF a A+ in the academics because the whole school cares about you class. Since I run track and Cross Country I'm always busy, and I thought that coaches would not too much care about there classes, but I was wrong they really enforce school and make sure you get the best education possible, They also want you to finish school in 4 years and recommend that one take 5 classes a semester.

Convenience

There are many apartments made for USF students. It surrounding the school. If the aparts are not across the street the Bull Runner, which is our local college bus will take you to school especially if one does not have a car.

4050 Lofts

This place is pretty below average. The one thing going for it is that it's very close to campus.. I walk to class everyday and it takes like 10 minutes. The rent is pretty expensive though, and the actual apartments are kinda cheap, as in like, cheap appliances and furniture. I guess you could say it's safe, but idk anymore, somebody got shot on the floor above me the other day. There's a couple pools, but there's no volleyball or basketball courts, so that sucks. Also, every weekend there will ALWAYS be at least 2 new piles of vomit somewhere around the building. Honestly, I would look elsewhere, there's way better places for the money.

USF Tampa

The local atmosphere is very pleasant. I have yet to encounter any illegal activities around the campus area. Overall, it is awesome. Busch Gardens and Adventure Island are just minutes away from campus. If you love going to the mall and hanging out with friends, the University Square Mall is just about 5 minutes from campus. You can even walk there. Yes, it's that close and that safe. In addition, the city revolve around the school. Almost every stores give students discount, even the barbershops and beauty salons. If you want to experience the real college life, come to the University of South Florida. The school is excellent, plenty of activities to get involve in, resources to sharpen your mind, and the women are just lovely. Go Bulls!!!

Clubs, Parties, and More

The University of South Florida is close to Ybor City, which is home to many restaurants and clubs. On any given Friday night, one can see many students going out to Ybor City. There are also parties that are thrown by the fraternities and sororities. Many students can be seen going to these. Still, there is the option to just hang out with friends. Many students can be found in their rooms or their friends' rooms playing video games, listening to music, or watching TV.

A Nice Town.

Tampa has great weather and is close to beautiful beaches. Ybor city is a hip place to hang out with friends and eat, relax and dance. There are many sporting events, and the parks in this area are wonderful. There are bike trails and space to just chill.

Living in a Dorm Room

Living on campus was the best experience of college, being surrounded by your peers who all have the same goal, that is to get some homework done, is a great support system.

Let's Go Bulls!

The students at the University of South Florida are extremely supportive of the teams at their school. You see them all on game day; stomachs painted green and gold and their helmets with horns on top as they scream in spirit. Students all over campus, at any given time, thrust their hands in the air and yell go Bulls! It is truly a proud moment when the players run on to the field or court for a game and pupils and staff alike can't help but shout with respect. In fact, one of the first things I learned at the school was how to make the Bulls symbol with my hand!

Greeks Do Alot for Students and Communities

Greek Life, as a non-Greek, comes across as something not only fun to be a part of but an experience of a lifetime. Within Fraternities and Sororities, brotherhoods and sisterhoods are built and maintained. Sisters stick together and push one another to prosper academically and personally. No man is left behind, is what I see from all Greeks, no matter the ethnicity or beliefs. Greeks that I am familiar with such as Alpha Kappa Alpha, Alpha Phi Alpha, Delta Sigma Theta and Sigma Gamma Rho, constantly hold events to keep students on campus entertained and involved. They even provide information about job/internship and volunteer opportunities on occasion which non-Greeks appreciate. I have heard of and seen the work they do with young children whether in day-care or hospital. They do a lot to give back to the community and also even recognize specific students for accomplishments providing scholarship opportunities with whatever they managed to raise.

Plenty of Diversity

University of South Florida was ranked number one in diversity, this was something that really attracted my attention. To broaden my horizons.

Studies

I came to the University of South Florida because it is a well accredited school. I am a Finance major, the field is interesting and I may double major with International Business. There are free tutors available.

Sustainability

USF has the first sustainability master's degree programs in the nation. One of the professors in the environmental science program, Dr. Brinkmann, was even able to put worm composts into some of the dorms on campus to recycle and waste less food. Our school also has botanical gardens with a variety of ecosystems to visit and/or study.

Bustabulous

At USF , they have buses going on everyday and all night too. They go all around campus.if you need to go somewhere just text to see when the bus is getting to the your stop. We also get access to the city buses which are free to students. Also there is a Safe transportation system which is if its late at night and you don't feel safe walking around campus you call them and they come get you and take you wherever you need to go, and they wait for you when your done!

Living on/Off Campus

Living On Campus is never dull and most of the dorms are fairly new, but the old dorms are kept up also. Eating halls are not so bad either.Warning: You May Gain Your Freshman 15 here! It can be compared to going to Golden Corral everyday. On another note, as we mature in college living on campus may not be so comfortable. You have to move out at the end of every semester. Not Cool. Living off campus on the other hand maybe a good route for those planning on taking summer classes after freshman year, it gives you the space and the opportunity to use things at YOUR discretion. And they are all on the Bus Route! It's Free! Saves Gas and Money.

a large city full of life and culture. That is able to entertain and educate you.

USF is a highly spirited school with great fan support, especially at football games.

University of South Florida Facilities

Absolutely beautiful campus- nice buildings, big trees, pretty landscaping. Our library is massive; it’s always open and provides a great place to study, plus Starbucks is in the lobby. Our gym is also very nice. It has a ton of equipment, pools, and a Smoothie King. Additionally, volleyball, tennis and basketball courts are located throughout the campus. USF provides tons of activities including movies on the lawn and concerts.

USF- Tampa,FL

The University of South Florida has a very diverse local atmosphere whether it's from students to any events. Coming from a much smaller town, this was a great place to come and find myself as a person and adult. Aside from on-campus, there are many things to do off such as local malls, restaurants, night life attractions, amusement parks, ect. If you want something, the chances are you will definitely get or find it locally. It is a great place to be, and a place where I am having some of the best experiences in my life.

Drug Safety

The on-campus police are very aware of what is going on they do a great job

The school is really very strict about its underage drinking, illegal downloading and drug use policies. But I like that about the school

Florida

Tampa is a very warm and inviting city to be in. The atmosphere is awesome and the people there are very kind. I lived in missouri before and Tampa is totally different. I engoy the school and the teachers are very caring and educated. There are a lot of activities to get involved in.

Athletics

Everyone likes to show their Bulls spirit at the university. Even if you're not into sports, it's hard to to show off your school colors when there is a big game coming. The university is always attempting to update our sports facilities and give students the best equipment available. Even now, the recreation center is getting a whole new make-over. I believe Athletics is almost as important to our school as the classes.

Computers at USF

The computer labs at USF are pretty good. You can almost always find an open computer. The school also has Wi-Fi for those that choose to bring their laptops, or even for those that rent the school's laptops.
