Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

For those who are not familiar with Florida weather, it tends to be a little bit bipolar. At one moment, it could be pouring rain and seem like a thunderstorm that is pushing the boundaries of a tropical storm could be going on, and minutes later, it could be the nicest and sunniest day that you have ever experienced.

To deal with the constant changing forecast of the area, one has to be able to handle the change between showers and hot, cloudless days. This is mostly only during the spring and summer months. During the winter months in Tampa, it is pleasantly nice compared to the rest of the country. Normally, it's 70 degrees outside, which is considered too cold for most Floridians. This is a perfect example of why "Snowbirds" (people from the North who visit during the winter) choose Florida.

The weather at USF is typically very hot. Yes there are trees but in my opinion, the school is still scorching on most days. As far as rain goes, when it rains, it RAINS!!

Bi-Polar Weather

The University of South Florida is located in a city called Tampa that is located towards the center of the state near the coast of the Gulf of Mexico. The weather in Florida can be either raining or really sunny. When it rains, it rains hard for 5 minutes, then goes back to being sunny. Temperatures vary throughout the week from being really hot, or really breezy and comfortable. The only consistent aspect about the weather is that it is very humid all the time; during winter and especially during summer.
