Declaring a major within Dornslife usually just requires you to meet with an advisor and sign a sheet, pretty easy. However, if you want to apply for a professional school, such as journalism in Annenberg or business in Marshall, you have to complete a supplemental application that often asks for a certain gpa, unit completion, letters of rec, etc. Advisers are really helpful and will answer any questions you have. They will also help you plan your four years with double majors or majors and minor combinations that will allow you to graduate on time.

Students can easily access the Metro or take a bus from campus. There's also Campus Cruiser which is a free service to students from 6pm to very early in the morning that will drive them within a certain radius around the school, around a mile. Perfect to get picked up from late parties or class and be dropped off at your apartment. Zip Cars are available for rent on campus. You can get one as cheap as 9 dollars an hour or one solid fee for a day, and so on.

As long as you meet deadlines and provide everything they as for, you will get the assistance you need. However, pay attention to the deadlines for individual scholarships that the school has to offer (i.e Latino Alumni Scholarship) because they have supplemental applications.

Guys & Girls:
I love USC because there is a variety of people who attend. Every one is an over achiever but they can also be a great support system

Health & Safety:
Because the campus is centered in a high crime area, there are always alerts sent via email of someone getting robbed or their home or apartment broken into.

The places on campus are really good and what is so great about USC is that if you show your id off campus to various food places in the area, you get a discount!

Drinking is part of the culture at USC, and I would say many students do it, although there is also plenty of space at USC for people who don't want to participate in the drinking culture. Many people smoke weed or cigarettes, but drugs are much less common, although not unheard of.

The housing provided by USC is pretty clean and nice. It can be quite expensive. Safety is always an issue in the neighborhood, but University apartments are monitored by DPS and the University has taken many steps to ensure safety. Parking is also expensive.

Happy with the flexibility that my program offers, but job options will be limited should I decide to pursue work within the United States.

Limited availability to grad students. Many more options for grad and undergrad students from California

One of the best schools in the country. The professors are exceptional.

USC was very generous in their undergrad package for me. Now that I am applying to grad school... that is a whole different story and process. Currently trying to deal with applying for loans

Due to the location, there are certainly certain rules and guidelines put in place for the safety of the students.

The team spirit is exemplary and infectious. Trojans truly bleed gold and cardinal. Sporting events are electrifying and you can feel the school spirit and fervor leading up the event itself.

There is a tremendous amount of diversity on campus. students from all types of racial, ethnic, religious, and cultural backgrounds form the campus which makes USC.

The social life at USC is truly amazing. In my experience it has been very difficult to find the school of your dreams that is also able to cater to all our social needs and interests. Some might not think it is important but to any well rounded student it is essential! Your social life during your four years of undergraduate school should be held in high regard as well as academics. Also USC is very helpful in finding their students jobs and internships in the fields of their dreams!

I believe that the student life on campus at the University of Southern California deserves an A+ for multiple reasons. Firstly I believe that the campus itself is a beautiful and captivating campus, drawing you in with its history and spirit. The facilities, student centers, libraries and more are all contributions to what makes such a diverse and interesting campus life. For students, you can find everything you need within a couple miles from campus if not on campus, which is very important. Although I do believe it is the student that makes the school, USC is a hugely accepting and warm community fit for all types of students!

The nightlife around USc is one of the best ive seen across all the campus' ive visited. everyone partakes and it takes stress off of the intense academics

There are a decent number of students who do drugs but i feel as if this number is muchless than the number of students at other institutions that partake in the same type of activities. overall the social scene is much more focus on drinking andbeing social than being a bunch of drug addicts

Registration is an uncomfortable hassle, and some GE professors, though knowledgeable, are not great at teaching. Generally, though, classes and course material are interesting. The workload varies by class and by point in the semester.

It's easy to take the metro to L.A. Live, where there's a lot of things to do.

I Dislike the Cold So Socal Is Perfect! The weather in Los Angeles is similar to home but not as scorching hot and humid. It usually sticks around 75 degrees throughout the whole year. I strongly dislike cold weather so SoCal is the perfect location for me, though it can get cold at night. Most school hosted events are outside because it hardly rains so you get to enjoy your friends and the outdoors.
