The Greek Life is not the main thing at USC, but it does have it's own good status. I am not part of one, but I experienced some event that a Greek house was holding. It was decent. It doesn't hurt to try.

USC has good resources for studying abroad for any majors.
College Senior 2012-10-28T01:32:35Z
There is actually good resources in the USC campus

Facilities at USC are amazing. There's never any area that seems "old" and whatever areas are in need of repair get repaired.

The computer labs can get really crowded and the wireless network can be slow. It's not usually a big problem, but I definitely recommend bringing your own laptop and printer.

There's not much need for a car around SC unless you're like me and go home on weekends. Parking spaces are pretty okay, but cost for parking is ridiculous. Otherwise, just having a car can be really convenient and overall the campus is fairly car friendly.

There are so many different dining options around USC. Whether you're in the mood for Mexican, Japanese, whatever, there's always something in the vicinity. Not in the mood for restaurants around SC? LA Live and downtown LA are a metro ride away! Food can get a little costy though.

Well I'm on the Health Science Campus and we are mostly graduate students (Med, Occupational therapy, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, etc.). It's a great community with a lot of opportunity to get involved. "2011-2012 total enrollment: 701 medical students, 294 Ph.D. students, 300 master's students" - http://keck.usc.edu
What I'm trying to say is that we're diverse, but very inclusive. There are a lot of Asians (Chinese, Korean, Indian, etc.), but that comes with being in Southern California. Honestly there's a little bit of everything here.

It's california weather! Balmy warm during the day and cools of nicely at night. It's almost november now and I'm getting to pull out some light sweaters, but we still have some hot days every now and again.

It's LA! You can find any scene that you have your heart set on. There are beaches, hiking, sports, hollywood! The public transportation isn't the best ever, but the trains are nice. Traffic is just what you would imagine, but I'm from out of state and found that with some planning and a smart phone it's manageable (most of the time). Los Angeles is just what you would imagine. It's downsides are outweighed by it's perks. Night life, Music, Art, and Pop Culture is all around you. Not to mention great universities like University of Southern California, LMU and Loyola Law School, and FIDM (Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising).

In LA, everyone lives in apartments, so there are so many in the area. My advice would be to actually wait until the spring to figure out where to live next year because you can probably find lower rates that way!

I am thrilled to be a bio major at USC, and I would definitely still choose to do this if I could do it again.

I am a vegetarian and the options at the dining halls are virtually non existent. On the other hand, Lemonade has so many delicious, vegetarian options!

Becoming a biological sciences major was very easy, and I especially like that it is in the college of liberal arts that way I am free to change majors more easily since there are so many options in this college.

I will be completing my first internship through the university next week. I had the most amazing experience as a therapist intern at a residential substance abuse program. It took a long time for the school to find something for me that matched my schedule. But after that small hiccup I knew there was a reason I had to wait. the placement was perfect for me and was truly one of the most enriching experiences of my life.

The campus is located fairly close to downtown Los Angeles. In the city there are a variety of options in regards to nightlife. Ranging from small bars to socialize with friends or nice restaurants for a good dinner to high class clubs and lounges with a variety of music styles.

While there is diversity on campus, there is a definite clear majority. It would be easy for someone out of the majority group to feel intimated on first look.

The police force is all over. Everywhere we go there is security

Such a wide variety of all different types of ethnicity. Excellent options from Mexican to Japanese and anything in between

A lot of opportunities since Los Angeles is so big. It can be hard to find one for a decent price that isn't too expensive, but it is possible.
College Sophomore 2012-10-05T14:18:31Z
Being in Los Angeles gives you a huge amount to do. There are a number of other universities around and a lot of bars, etc. Since students are spread out there are ample opportunities to visit a different section of LA.
College Sophomore 2012-10-05T14:13:05Z
The computer labs are clean and well staffed. There is always a computer available so you will have no trouble finding a spot.

There are many internships available, simply because this is Los Angeles. As a film and television major, experience is key. Not only are internships available, you can help out on senior thesis films or graduate films from day one. I am a freshman and already working as production designer on a senior animation thesis.

Film and Television Production Major
The process is lengthy, time consuming, and dependent on creativity.
Start early, know the requirements, allow yourself time to complete all of them, focusing on originality and creativity.
Production courses don't actually start until sophomore spring semester, so don't expect a camera in your hands on day one.
However, the opportunities to network and learn from professionals are amazing. There're always film screenings and talks every week available for SCA students. You will never be bored.
