Never see or hear about anyone doing drugs. programs drug test applicants.

Great city to live in and a beautiful campus.
College Freshman 2013-11-11T04:21:02Z
The public transportation system is really bad. It's hard to get around without a car. Even if you have one though, the traffic is hell.
College Freshman 2013-11-11T04:19:43Z
There's a whole range of people here with all kinds of religions, ethnicities, sexual preferences, and political beliefs, if the many clubs and student organizations are of any indication.

Despite the fact that the school is in LA, it's in a really bad part of LA, so there isn't much to do at night that's not at The Row. If you want to go out at night and have fun, a car is necessary.
College Freshman 2013-11-11T04:14:40Z
I'm not Greek, but Greek life is huge here. The Row throws tons of parties every week, and Greeks and non-Greeks alike flock there on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Heck, there's parties on other days sometimes too. The registered parties are also pretty big.

Los Angeles has so much to offer. Always something cool to do.
College Freshman 2013-11-07T23:00:47Z
USC definitely represents diversity among all facets: race, gender, political views, sexual orientation, religion, etc.
College Freshman 2013-11-07T22:59:06Z
It took a lot of work for me to get all of the aid that I needed, but it ended up working out.
College Freshman 2013-11-07T22:58:26Z
The weather is always great here. It never gets too cold.
College Freshman 2013-11-07T22:58:02Z
There needs to be more restaurants around campus! Especially more healthy options.
College Freshman 2013-11-07T22:56:47Z
Freshman housing is solid. I have seen better at other schools, but its not awful.
College Freshman 2013-11-07T22:55:41Z
Greek life is a big part of campus
College Freshman 2013-11-07T22:54:02Z
The main reason that I don't have a car on campus is becasue it costs so much to have permit.
College Freshman 2013-11-07T22:52:53Z
USC is definitely a big sports school.

Guys & Girls:
The guys are one of a kind...in good ways and bad ways
College Freshman 2013-11-07T22:51:24Z
The dining halls need improvement!!!
College Freshman 2013-11-07T22:50:09Z
I think off-campus is so attractive because the on-campus housing is so unattractive.
College Freshman 2013-11-07T22:48:37Z
I love the campus and the city around it. The school is great and has so many opportunities. Going to USC also gives you great connections.
College Freshman 2013-11-07T22:47:54Z
Health & Safety:
One thing that USC does have is a great Student Health Center with many specialists as well as DPS or campus police all over the place.
College Freshman 2013-11-07T22:47:02Z
Most of them are Macs. I have not seen many computer labs, but I have never looked for them
College Freshman 2013-11-07T09:57:45Z
You'd assume SoCal weather is 70ish year-round. DON'T. The weather here is bipolar. It can be in the 50s in the morning, but by noon, it'll end up being 80 something. And then it'll drop back down at night. It's hard to figure out what to wear here. It's also hotter here because we're in the city, urban heat island effect, blah blah blah.
College Freshman 2013-11-07T09:48:48Z
Haven't been off campus much, not much time and trying to save money. There aren't a lot of places open after 11 though, and since the dining halls are also closed at that time, getting food late at night is a pain in the butt. Not to mention the fact that walking around off-campus at night is ill-advised here.
College Freshman 2013-11-07T09:46:01Z
Galen Center is the best. Really nice facilities. The Lyon Center is just for student athletes and is supposedly even better than the Galen Center.
The school revolves around football. The amount of school spirit we have is almost obnoxious. We have 5 student organizations that focus on everyone's mutual love for USC: The Greatest Marching Band in the History of the Universe (ever!), Song Girls, Spirit Leaders, Helenes, and Trojan Knights. Also, massive tailgates on Game Days and Conquest Week.
Our team was doing pretty bad at the beginning of the season, but it seems to have turned around since Kiffin was fired.

While the University has been very generous with a lot of my friends, it has not been the case with me and my family. Scholarships are very generous for entering freshmen. If they offer a quarter, half, or full ride, it'll stay with you your whole time here unless your GPA is below 2.0 (like that's gonna happen). Scholarships for continuing students aren't nearly as big. The ones that are more than $1000 are often need based or for legacies.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
