There are numerous dining outside USC, especially on Figueroa Avenue. Figueroa has an excellent variety of fast food restaurants, along with a solid choice of sit-down restaurants. My personal favorites are Freebirds Burrito (student favorite), La Taquiza (pricey but good), and Chick-Fil A.

Public transportation could be better around USC, but that's mainly because transportation in LA generally could be a lot better. It's nice that there's shuttles around USC as well as zipcars and USC buses to LA Live on weekends, but lower rates to rent cars would be welcome.

campus is pretty diverse. a lot of different races and religions

Hard to get housing you want. Housing is expensive and costs just keep rising each year. Walking to off campus housing has become safer recently due to hired security.

Facilities are good. Clean and well-kept. A lot of new facilities are being built.

USC is really great at giving students with high financial need a great financial aid package. I definitely know that if i were to go to any other school, i would be paying a lot more. It is definitely need based and they offer scholarships!

USC is really diverse, you will see so many international students. You will never find this place to be anything but diverse. It's definitely not an issue here which is great

Health & Safety:
Campus Safety – Campus safety at USC is really improving. I feel totally safe in the area especially since they have security guards everywhere and people willing to drive you home if you don't feel safe walking home from campus late at night. they also have campus cruiser that you can call all the way until 3am to drive you to and from places.

Hit It Quick – Not strict, if your ganna hit it, hit it quick or just eat it. Do it responsibly, they'll know your doing it right

Guys & Girls:
Energetic and diverse – Generally, the students at USC are very energetic and diverse. There are a lot of people who are into working out and going to beaches, so they look healthy and fit. There are also people who are more into academics, music, and films (duh..) USC has a great theatre program, in which people are generally good-looking and friendly, but they don't party as much as the Greek people do. However, usage campus seems a bit segregated because of the big Greek system and lots of international students, but you can always meet attractive people with different interests from different countries if you want to.

Student Center Domination – The Ronald Tutor Campus Center is breathtaking and a hub for all kind of student activity. Between 11am and 3pm, its the "it" lunch spot for kids on campus and has an impressive array of food including Lemonade, Seeds, CPK, Panda, etc. Its open-air with lots of tables and umbrellas and almost always in perfect sunshine.
College Junior 2012-02-25T00:46:09Z
Intellect Plus Social Scene – This school is full of very smart and dedicated students who like to study and party hard. There are a lot of nerds as well though. Overall, it's amazing how well-rounded USC is, I only have great things to say.
College Junior 2012-02-25T00:43:15Z
Good Overall – Campus center is beautiful and has Coffee Bean, CPK, Panda Express, Carls Jr, Wahoo's, Seed's Marketplace and Lemonade. Leavey is a clean huge library open 24/7, Doheney is beautiful but only open until 10pm. Always different things going on around campus. The campus as a whole is always immaculately maintained and landscaped, there's a reason why films and commercials are filmed here regularly. Lyon Center is an alright gym, not the best.
College Junior 2012-02-25T00:40:50Z
Very Good – All of my classes have been challenging, and professors expect you to apply yourself to you fullest ability. 99% of professors have a terminal degree and most are notable scholars in their field(s) of expertise. I am very impressed by the quality of professors. TA's can be less than desirable because many don't speak English well which makes it difficult to understand what they say. There are a ton of Business, Engineering, and Pre-Med students.
College Junior 2012-02-25T00:36:17Z
Seriously though, greek life is huge at USC. Only about 30% of students are in it, but believe me, greeks are very prominent on campus. If you want to party, frat parties are where it's at on The Row on Thursday and Saturday nights. Guys can't get in unless they're a bro or know people -- girls do whatever they want. Most people go out to Hollywood or downtown on Friday nights to clubs, sake bombing etc

You have to get a permit to park on campus which are anywhere from $200-$500 a semester. There is meter parking too but it is hard to come by.
College Junior 2012-02-25T00:28:25Z
Very Diverse – USC has the largest international student population in the nation. Everywhere you look, you will see all kinds of different people.
College Junior 2012-02-25T00:27:28Z
Almost Only Freshman Live on Campus – Best dorm is New/North is you are social and want to have fun. Pardee and Birnkrant are a good mix of study and fun. Marks and Trojan Hall suck. Fluor is out of the way and annoying.
College Senior 2012-02-19T17:13:31Z
Many guys I've talked to have told me the reasons they came to our school was because of the women and the weather. As a girl, I enjoy being able to go outside in my shorts pretty much every day of the year. Porch parties throughout the year are a norm. Pretty much every day feels like summer, which can be distracting but also invigorating.

Guys & Girls:
Most Students Employ a "Work Hard, Play Hard," Mentality – The kind of students you will find at USC are well rounded and know how to keep their nose to the grindstone when work adds up, but also know how to have fun and have a good time. It's really rewarding being around such a talented, accomplished, and versatile group of people, because it makes you work harder and get more out of the social experience.
College Junior 2012-02-15T21:31:08Z
Policies Are Strict – Students aren't allowed to use or have drugs or alcohol on campus.
College Junior 2012-02-15T21:27:01Z
Decent Atmosphere – The community is full of fans. There is a decent amount of social opportunity in the surrounding area, and much more within half an hour by bus. There is also much to do on campus.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
