Costs way too much since there are cheaper restaurants nearby, but the quality is good.

Great Athletics – one of the best things about usc is the athletics. the football team is basically the pro team for LA and they university really takes good care of their athletes.

I had my SEOG grant canceled once and the school just increase the university grant to cover it. Just make sure to check your document status since sometimes they messed things up and have to be straightened. I am graduating soon with only 5k subsidized loan to pay back.

Keep Things Under Control – North side of campus is really safe with the DPS patrols, still our apartment right next to the row gets its elevator, couches and television trashed during party nights.

Econ Lab – It has free printing, but the computers are never connected to it and often times it is out of paper. Also lots of wasted papers as I've seen 40 pages of scrap papers just lying around.

I'm Used to It. Besides the fact that one day it can be veryhot and the enxt very cold, the weather is actually nice. Then again I love winter and rain and hot summer days equally.

Not really concerned with such things so I really don't apy attention to them. But the fact that I don't pay attention shows that it doesn't cause much problems.

Helps Me Get Things Done. The off campus housing is an abundant of houses. A few blocks off you can see several apartments and houses that are used for college students.

Eating at SC – USC offers everything you could possibly wish to consume. Every food from high end Lemonade to fast food Carl's Jr. to delicious California Pizza Kitchen is available at USC. The sole drawback to the eating experience at USC is the freshman meal plans. Meal plans are required the first year and are less than perfect. While one of the dining halls offers excellent food such as Mahi Mahi, ice cream, and tri-tip, the other more conveniently located hall is less than desirable.

Workload varies greatly at USC. It primarily depends on your major. Some majors, such as psychology and cinema, require far less work than an extremely intensive major such as biomedical or electrical engineering. Overall, the workload is what you make it.

Plenty to Choose from – There are parties very often as it is a very social campus. The bar/club scene in Hollywood is great and there are also options for the underage party-goers to join in on the club scene through campus promoters, etc.

Guys & Girls:
Good-Looking & Diverse – Students are very good-looking for the most part as well as diverse. It is easy to find several groups of people that you get along with and have similar interests, making social life at USC great.

Health & Safety:
Somewhat Safe – The campus itself is relatively safe considering how dangerous the surrounding area can be. I would not be overly concerned about walking around campus alone at night, just aware. The administration does its best to make students feel safe and comfortable with significant security measures.

Free Is the Best Price – Public Transportation is pretty good. But, for the hot spot USC normally will provide their own bus system. For example, USC has their own free tram to get to and from Union Station. Another example is when I have an architecture review, USC provided free transportation for that event.
There is also campus cruiser which is a free transportation for student to get around places off campus. This is ideal to get to and from parties and can always result in a fun conversation with the driver.

Gotta Live on Campus! There are very different on campus living experiences. Some of the dorm are more for partying where others are quieter. The whole social spectrum is covered. Every living space has food nearby, and most have treadmills, which is convenient. I love dorm life

If You Want It, They Have It – The athletic center are super nice for athletes and okay for students. The main student center is amazing. The building is brand new and offers everything that is need with the exception of a 24/7 shop which is somewhere else on campus. All the libraries are great. The one for architecture is perfect because no one really know about it except architects which makes it quiet and I good place to read. Campus activities are flawless. There is always something to do! The general campus aesthetics is pleasing. With the exception of a few buildings, the feel is scholarly due to the brink buildings that are similar to the stereotypical college campus like Yale or Princeton.

Wonderful If You Take the Opportunity – USC is wonderfully diverse, with a variety of academic and non-academic activities. I'm having a blast here primarily because of the relationships I had formed, in my ministry, with my professor, etc. It really depends on the individual, since our school is so incredibly diverse, and each person has their own experience.

Trojan Football Team – Great school spirit united for the Trojan football team. Lots of tailgating and alumni during game days. Basketball also big here, though not as much as football. The athletic facility is pretty good, with a variety of options and activities. I wish they can open for longer hours though.

University Village – Decent food and a good selection of international options. Kind of expensive, but acceptable. Other fast food locations including Chipotle, Chik-fil-a, Subway, and Freebirds, etc. are found at each corner of the campus.

Like I said before, I come from a poor community and I definitely depended on financial aid to go to USC. They basically paid for everything!
College Senior 2011-01-26T00:27:58Z
Not That Bad – I haven't really been seeing a lot of drug problems here. The only exception is that one of my hall mates passed away from an overdose of drugs....but that's about it. Drinking is definitely a more popular thing.
College Senior 2011-01-26T00:25:39Z
Culture Shock – Coming from a poor neighborhood (south LA) and a high school that was 99.999999% Mexican, it was a huge culture shock when all I saw were Asians and white people. Most of them are pretty well off financially as well. A lot of students are spoiled as well. I do sometimes wish that I could see more Latinos here...but I have learned quite a lot about Asian culture from my friends..and I've definitely become more proud of my culture. So there's definitely an upside.
College Senior 2011-01-25T09:15:06Z
Diverse, but Self-Segregated – There is a good amount of diversity on campus, but there is also a great deal of self-segregation. I constantly see clusters of Asian or Black or Latino students with little diversity within their own groups.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
