THE BEST! USC's Athletic Department, whether we win or lose, is the best. the pride our teams give the school is the greatest feeling a college student can have

Guys & Girls:
Guys Are Arrogant, for the Most Part – Most of the guys at USC are self-centered and make it apparent. But when you find a respectable one, they are the greatest men you'll ever meet!

Would Not Go Here If I Could Do It Over Again – As a computer science major I am very disappointed in the professors and class curriculum. I hate GE's they are a complete waste of my time. Dinning sucks big time and needs a lot of improvement. USC employees are not very helpful or friendly.

On Campus Dinning Fails to Meet Student Needs – I have been a student at USC for 3 year now and no matter what the food never gets better. I have decided to take the initiative to create a new website where you students could vote on food you would like to see at USC dinning facilities. It will probably be called Chompz, so look out for it. Below are some of the reasons why I decided to create Chompz.
I don't think USC does not listen to student's need. For example, I prefer a vegan diet, but that is not possible unless I want to starve on campus. I have told the managers of various dinning facilities to add a section and even gave them suggestions, but no matter how many times I complain or this issue showing up in the Daily Trojan it never changes. This is shows that USC Hospitality does not listen to their students and is a real problem.
Then there is the URSC Advocacy Board who are suppose to advocate for the students. They don't seem to have much progress on the food issue. They spent an semester or longer to get a more healthy cereal in the dinning halls. To me that is unacceptable and pathetic.

The weather here is good. One of the best things about it here. It rains a few times but that is about it. So the sun is always out and so you wear comfortable clothes.

The dining areas are good to go at first but after awhile you will get tired of the food and so then you will be going to places outside of the school instead.

Health & Safety:
USC inside of campus is safe during the day time and sometimes even at night. But when you go outside the campus even just across the street the safety level drops. It is best keep belogings with you at all time or have them in your place at a secure area locked in case of theft.

Punishments Are Fair – Students are informed of the consequences that come for particular actions. Review process is strict, but just and followed consistently

Options are average--would be nice to have more options next to campus, especially health food restaurants

For a university like USC, I would expect better recreational facilities for non-athlete students.

Freshman Dorms – Freshman dorms at USC are ok. You have your RA who is an amazing person to go to for advice, support, friendship, etc. Communal bathrooms are annoying at first but once you get the hang of it, it really isn't that bad. USC freshman dorm rooms are fairly large. They are definitely larger than UC dorm rooms.

A Little Expensive – Don't have a car, but I think it's like $400 a semester, which seems a little pricey.

Not as Bad as Portrayed – Everyone says the neighborhood around SC is bad, and yes it's not Beverly Hills, but it isn't as bad as people make it out to be.

Can be a little too expensive for the area, but there are finds if you are willing to spend the time looking for them. Housing is supposed to be guaranteed soon for all 4 years.

Best Place to Be – This is a great place to be. You feel like you're at a home away from home.

Off-Campus Apartments – Being off campus is not a bad thing. There is always something to do, and the apartments are close enough to campus to feel safe.

Life on Campus – There is an incredible football team which creates a great sense of school pride on campus. It is also a very social campus, especially if you are involved in greek life.

There are many computers available on campus, but labs get crowded during midterms and finals. Wireless is available throughout the campus and is generally reliable and fast.

Drugs and Alcohol on Campus – The Drug scene on campus is not huge. It is just if you hang around people who do them. The Alcohol scene however, is huge on and off campus. The school and school public safety do not really bother students with drinking and underage drinking, especially on the Row.
Recent Alumnus 2010-04-26T00:21:40Z
Off-Campus Is Better – There are more and healthier options for food off campus. Also the business give lots of discounts to students. The 29 Cafe is at the end of the Row and has the best burger, and salads.

Food on Campus – The Dining halls on campus are not the best. The Food at VKC and Parkside is gross. There is a place called The Lot which is kind of like a food court. The Meal Plans are good and required for all freshmen.

The Parking for school is bad. However parking in Los Angeles is the same way. Parking permits are over $300 for a semester, and parking on the row is limited.

The Row and the 9-0 – The Row is a huge part of the School. Even if people are not apart of the Greek system, they still attend the parties. The Greek Life at school is one of the best parts of school life. The 9-0 is the a bar open for the public, but it is mostly for the students. The drinks are expensive, but it is nice to have a bar to go to within walking distance.

Guys & Girls:
The Guys and Girls Are Tan and Hot – Both Girls and Guys at school are typical Orange County/Beach City people. The Guys are tan and good looking. The Girls are beautiful and skinny.
