The school is very strict with some things. They do not allow underage drinking or drugs of any kind. This is a Catholic institution, so they do promote values and do not tolerate anything that does not uphold those values.

The financial aid office is helpful, but they are often slow and hard to get a hold of. I wish there were more scholarship opportunities and that they were more flexible.

This is primarily a commuter school, so many people do live off campus. Finding housing can be a challenge though because we are in the middle of a residential community, so finding an apartment at a good price can be a challenge.

Health & Safety:
I have never felt unsafe. Security is always patrolling and willing to walk or drive you to your car. The area is not terrible and our security works closely with Joliet Police department.

The school has multiple computer labs on campus. There is only one color printer but plenty of printers around campus and price is not that much. Network speed is pretty good and wireless access is good. I have never had issues with wireless access. USF is primarily a computer school and I don't think it's necessary to bring personal computer to school. There are plenty of options if you need one during the day.

USF is primarily a computer school. Near campus there are multiple options for renting houses or apartments. The cost is average and definitely cheaper than living on campus. The neighborhood is relatively safe but you may not always be walking distance to campus.

There are multiple lounges and computer labs for student use. The athletic center/school gym is okay but it is small. Students also get a free membership to the Joliet Park District's Athletic Center which is very nice. The dining options on campus are okay.

They are always accessible to walk with students or even pick them up and walk them to their cars or dorm.

The school tries to have various activities for the students on campus.

There are not may places close by and the few that are near are fast foods.

There are classes in a downtown location and students are able to take the shuttle to class. Also, there are shuttles to Wal-Mart every Wednesday night, but I do wish there were shuttles to the off-campus workout facility as well as local sporting events.

I love the friendly feel as you walk through campus. Everyone on campus is so nice and willing to help out. Not to mention, we just got a new President, and he is really turning things around!

The food is okay, but there are not many options.

I not in a sport personally, but they do care about athletics very much. They are very strict towards students that break the rules, ie drinking and doing drugs. They don't have the best facilities for them to work out it but they work with what they have.
College Senior 2013-09-25T19:48:48Z
The food on campus is not very good. the hours are weird and there aren't that many choices of place and things to eat.
College Junior 2013-08-12T15:06:15Z
Multiple computer labs so there is never an issue obtaining access to computers or printing.

the only visible use of any substance is smoking. Drug usage is not tolerated.

lots fill up and off campus parking is at a premium. to get a good spot, you need to get there early a.m.

It's a Catholic University. They expect students to comply by the laws as well as the standards of behavior set forth by the church. When you attend, you expect a certain level of strictness and it should not come as a surprise.

I never feel unsafe at University of St. Francis. The campus is small. Certain areas of the town around the campus may be unsafe, but campus security is always willing to drive you to your car and help you avoid those areas.

The transportation options at Joliet Central High School consisted of many bus routes due to the large amount of students. There were also activity buses that ran about two shifts every night for the students who played sports or who were enrolled in other extracurricular activities. I rated this with a C because although it is certainly not horrible, it is not the best it can be either. Therefore I give the transportation an average grade.

Good school classes are hard. Most teachers are helpful

There are people of many different races at USF. We have many International Students that live on campus, so that brings a lot of diversity to campus. We also have clubs that focus on the many diverse groups of people. There is International Club, UVA (Unidos Vamos A Alcanzar), and Spectrum (GSA). Through these clubs the students get to learn more about each other and themselves. The school is very supportive by allowing these clubs to hosts events open to the university. Overall, I would say that diversity on campus is fairly well. There is always room for improvement though. Which is why this year SGA is bringing in a new position named "VP of Diversity" to bring more diverse events and understanding to USF! :)
