With more than 120 areas of study, the University of Tampa is considered one of the most prestigious schools in all of the state of Florida. Founded in 1931, the University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Universities. The University provides an exceptional atmosphere for learning and growth, with programs such as Gateways helping new students fit in quickly and prepare for the academic challenges ahead. A low student/faculty ratio means close faculty contact with plenty of time for individual attention and meetings when needed. When it comes to professors, UT has very qualified personnel. Professors hold doctorates from the most prestigious and well-known graduate schools, with more than half of these instructors winning teaching awards at some point in their brilliant careers.

The University's demanding coursework focuses on giving each and every student a depth of knowledge, practical experience, and a greater understanding of today's global culture, economy, and technology. Also, outstanding students are invited to participate in an honors program that features expanded instruction, research, and travel and internship opportunities, including the honors program at Oxford University in England. Not Bad Overall

Registration is a complete hassle and if you are a Science major good luck getting the class you need. But my professors have all been okay, the workload is average, there is a tutoring center for struggling students, and there are a few cool spots to study.
