Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

The University of Tampa's athletic program is one of the most respected and well-established in Division II collegiate sports. UT is home of the always well-ranked Spartans, whom every year are out there battling to bring home the honor of being one of the most recognized schools in athletics in the nation.

The fact that the Spartans usually perform well is what motivates the student body to attend all of the sporting events—that's why the stands are always crowded with Spartans cheering for their team and helping them bring home a victory. And for those who are not out there wearing the Spartans varsity jersey, intramural sports are available year-round. Sports like soccer, lacrosse, ultimate Frisbee, softball, basketball, and many more are available for students that want to take part. Overall, the athletic scene at UT is great, and both Spartan fans and players are always ready to battle their way to a victory.

Athletics

There was not much student involvement, no one went to any of the games of any sports. Not much school spirit. We did just get a lacrosse team this year. Nice soccer field and gym, but again no students attended any games.
