Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Campus life is greatly enhanced by the comforts, conveniences, and experiences that residence halls offer. On-campus residents have higher graduation rates, higher GPAs, and report a greater satisfaction with their collegiate experience. The University is committed to providing a safe and comfortable housing experience for all of its students.

The majority of the dorms in UT have been renovated and almost each dorm has a brand-new feature. Of course, there are still some old dorms like McKay Hall and Smiley Hall, but even these dorms have been provided with great new furniture and appliances, like plasma TVs and brand-new washing machines, to make students' living conditions a little more pleasant. With such innovations and even more to come, the housing offered at UT is way above average in terms of typical college housing.

All Dorms Are Nice

The dorms at the University of Tampa are very nice. Upperclassmen get the best housing but the underclassmen dorms are reasonable and they keep them in good condition. People at the University of Tampa are very friendly and easy to get along with. It will be very easy for any new student to quickly make friends.

Dorming...

There are a lot of options for dorms here at UT, but little availability. If you plan on going here or considering it, APPLY FOR HOUSING ASAP, or else you may end up living in the Howard Johnson Hotel off of campus, and one can imagine the inconveniences with that. I am pleased with dorming here, although it is a little pricey (costing over $2,000 A SEMESTER), the dorms are verrryy nice (excluding the bedding, get some kind of memory foam mattress cover). There are some outdated dorms though, and you can't enjoy the luxuries of the on campus apartments as an underclassman, so it is imperative that you apply early. Stadium, Vaughn, and Austin are the only real options for first year students.

Some of the best

The on campus housing here is some of the best compared to most public or private colleges. The worst dorms here would be some of the better dorms at my old college
