It is available at the Student Health Center. Students can make an appointment for contraceptive counseling. If hormonal contraception (birth control pills or the Depo Provera injection) is desired, a Well Woman Visit or record of a normal pap result from another physician, performed within the past 12 months, is required. Visit the Well Woman Visits page for more information about packages and pricing available. The prescribed contraception options that are available at the Health Center are oral contraceptives and the Depo Provera injection. An educational DVD on contraception options is also available for viewing at the Health Center.

Students at the University of Tampa seem to agree that there is a great variety of girls and guys on campus. Although there are many different types of people, the average student tends to be in shape—this is Florida, so everyone wants to show a little skin at the pool to attract the opposite sex. The pool, dorms, cultural events, and random parties are some of the most common ways people interact with one another and establish relationships that might go beyond just a handshake. For the guys, it is easier to find girls because the girl-to-guy ratio is unbelievable girl-heavy, which means that guys have a lot to choose from, while girls—not so much.

Overall, the UT guy/girl scene is pretty diverse. In terms of the dating scene, you will find everything from promiscuous students to more reserved ones.

Features/ Desciption of Students on Campus

The students here on campus seem to be wealthy and well sustained. This is not a bad thing, but most students get this in there head that they have high-egos. This might mean they are stuck-up or maybe they just can't help the fact that they have money from there parents. I for one, went to school because I earned it through scholarships and loans. I didn't want my parents to help me pay for college. I feel that many guys and girls do not have that independence yet. Some act as if still in High School. The variety of students is great here. There are many from other countries and out of state.

Girls...

There are sooo many good looking girls here... it is almost ridiculous. There are a few stuck up girls and there are a lot of girls that are apart of sororities, but it is safe to say that there is a girl and half for every guy here at UT.

Okay

There are some good looking guys, some not. A majority of the guys are from the north and very conceited. The guys are usually polite and will hold the door for the ladies. The school is full of players though. The guys here aren't the type of guys that you would want to look for long term relationship with. They are mainly date for the night guys and then move on to the next one.

Social Scene

Students are very outgoing and like to meet new people, which makes the social scene at UT pretty cool.
Students like to have cultural parties and attend every single event held on campus. Each event is another opportunity to meet new people and establish new relationships.

Hookups or Relationships?

At the University of Tampa, one might spot serious relationships walking around campus, but random hookups are also seen around here, especially when students are out partying at the local clubs near campus.

Dress Code

Since this is Florida, most of the guys love to wear shorts, and girls love shorts and skirts.
When going to parties, guys dress with button-shirts and jeans; girls, on the other hand, love to wear tight dresses and show a little skin, which is always good for the guys.
