If you are in Tampa and feel the need to have international cuisine, just look around! Tampa is filled with many different, international choices for good eats. Indian, Vietnamese, Colombian, Venezuelan, Cuban—you can find any type of food. For students who are going out on a date, for those who have relatives in town, or for those international students craving some food from "home," Tampa and its different restaurant varieties will do the job. And if you don't want to eat out at a restaurant, you can always go to an international market and pick up the necessary ingredients to make your own favorite dish.

The value of what you get for what you pay is unbelievable. You can have your favorite international dish for as low as $2 in some places. Tampa is definitely a great place to go out and enjoy a nice meal, no matter the ethnic food. And for those who are more organic, there are also different healthy and vegetarian options available around the city.

Downtown Tampa

The University of Tampa is set in Downtown Tampa. The city isnt that large, which makes everything within walking distance.There are a variety of cultures and types of food in and out of the city. The south end of the campus is on the outskirts of the city , which make easy access to the nearby malls and shopping centers. You can get food from the Neighborhood Walmart to the local pizza or wing hangout to the finest of dinning. Prices are all within range and you will most likely run into someone who also attends UT. Overall, the cost, convience, and quality of nearby food is more than resonable.

There are a good amount of off-campus dining areas, but they seem to be out of walking reach. I have not heard of anyone on campus getting a student discount at any of our dining areas.
