The campus is so small you don't need transportation!

Transportation at the University of Tampa can be a hassle sometimes. Even though Tampa is a big, metropolitan city, it has a terrible public bus service. It goes through every half hour, and that's why many students prefer not to use this service. Although a lot of students have cars, others without a means of transportation make friends with students who have cars and often ride with them. Campus shuttles are not available at UT, but there are always cabs parked in front of Vaughn Center, which is the heart of campus. Some of them are courtesy cabs where you just tip the driver instead of paying the full cost.

At night on the weekends, taxi cabs are available for students who want to go out. The cost is only $3 a person, and many cabs can take up to seven people in their cars. For long-distance transportation, the best way is to ride with a friend or call a cab because the bus will take a long time to take you to your destination.
