Police Always Present

More recently UTA has increased the police presence so it's pretty safe. There are a good amount of police call stations for emergencies and they will escort you to your car if you ask them to. That said, some of the further parking lots are very dark and scary at night.

More of a Commuter School

UTA is not really a party school.. There are frats and sororities but it's more of commuter school with an older crowd of students. There's a few bars cli to campus but they are older and not always busy.. Might as well skip the Arlington scene and go to Dallas or Fort Worth.

Nightlife? What Life?

I am a very studious person. I know parties must exist, but I have never seen or heard of any. The school parties that are safe and do not involve alcohol are the best, and I strongly recommend getting involved on campus to avoid getting involved with the wrong crowd. Once it comes time to start studying, you won't want to have to worry about the headache from last night's hangover.
