UT campus is so big so there's plenty of different places to eat. There's chipotle right on the drag, there's verts, there's so many things to choose from!

Everyone seems really friendly although I'm not interested in the Greek life.

Austin has everything from hole-in-the-wall joints to chain restaurants and companies, all within a reasonable distance. From 1st Street to 51st Street, there is a wide variety of places to get food, shop, or pick up necessities for the week. On top of that, most of these are located extremely close to campus, within walking distance, making it extremely convenient for those of us who don't have cars. The food trucks are exceptional and definitely something one has to experience when coming to Austin for the first time, especially Bananarchy.

Guys & Girls:
Our campus has every single type of stereotyped guy and girl, plus the ones that don't fit in with the stereotype. Sure, some of them are slightly odd, but they are given the opportunity to express themselves (in a manner that is not distracting). The guys for the most part are extremely attractive and have strong will-power, and the girls are modest and all beautiful in their own way! Southern hospitality is also a commonality among the guys here, and that is much appreciated.

The College of Education, ranked number one in the nation among public schools, provides a great learning experience for its students. I'm an Athletic Training major, and the program for Athletic Training majors is fantastic. They give us plenty of hands on activities, and provide us with the connections we will need to get a solid job after we graduate. The professors are phenomenal, and truly know what they're talking about, and value getting to know their students better and helping them succeed.

The University of Texas has an outstanding academic program. The College of Education, the college that my major is a part of, is ranked #1 in the nation among public schools, and all of the other colleges are highly esteemed and prestigious. I feel like the experience I have in the classroom is very relatable, and the professors keep us very engaged. I have 3 larger classes of 100+, but we still get involved with our classmates. The professors truly want us to do our best, and they provide us all of the opportunities necessary to succeed in their classes.

There are tons of opportunities at your feet in all majors.

UT Austin's student facilities are very nice. I love the gym and workout areas. I went to our first football game and the stadium is great.

As a business major I'm very excited to be at the McCombs School of Business. It's a top ranked school and I'm hopeful that when I graduate I will be able to get a job. I am a Freshman and in my first semester of classes, but I love my professors and their openness to the students.

Health & Safety:
I am a Freshman and new to campus, but I don't feel unsafe. I take the necessary precautions that I would take at any campus. I keep personal valuable items out of site or locked up and I prefer to walk with a friend when not on campus. I do not feel afraid to walk to my classes by myself, however, my classes are all during the day.

There are many restaurants within walking distance that provide a variety of food. Of course there are fast food chains, but there are many healthy options and "local" eateries. One of my favorite places is "http://www.kerbeylanecafe.com" - it's open all night and the prices are reasonable. If you run out of restaurants in walking distance - which might take a while - as a student you can take the public bus for free and start visiting other local places with just about any type of food you are craving.

It's Texas! It's hot 3-4 months of the year - ok very hot on many days! However, the remaining 8-9 months of the year are mostly wonderful. The campus is beautiful and its nice to get outside and walk.

As a business major, I plan to look for an internship. After just hearing that I was accepted into the McCombs School of Business, I had two different professionals offer me their business card and asked me to contact them in the spring for a possible summer internship. I think think this speaks very loudly for the strict criteria used just to gain admittance into the UT Austin business school and based on this, I am very hopeful to finding an internship.

I don't have a car and have been able to get around just fine. Everyone walks in Austin.

Austin is one of my favorite cities in the country. Not only does it have the University of Texas, but it also has so much more to offer. The natural beauty of Austin's rolling hills and lakes make it extremely unique, and Austinites are proud of it! The food is to die for, whether it's Salt Lick barbecue or from a trendy food truck. Austin is also the live music capital of the world, bringing in a plethora of different artists for events like Austin City Limits and South by Southwest.

It's just about impossible to run out of things to do in Austin, with all of its live music performances, organizations, and parties. There's a place for everyone here, and people are kind enough to hold the door open for you here. There are numerous restaurants and food chains, as well as intramural sports teams you can join.

The place to eat are very easy to find. There are a lot of option to choose from and most of the places are fairly affordable.

the process of getting into the theater and dance major was fairly easy. I didn't have to do a special application process when applying for the school.

I received a decent amount of financial aid, but it has been a trial. My financial was messed up because of the mistakes that occurred. i would recommend that you continue to call and check on your financial aid status especially during the summer.

The University does a good job at advocating the abstinence of drug use.

University housing was one of my better experiences. The atmosphere was always hospitable and friendly. Additionally, the facilities are always top of the line.

UT does not tolerate any nonsense. This is not necessarily a bad thing though, because it exhibits the character of the students they want to educate.

Greek Life at UT is a great place to branch out and have a good time while developing life-long friendships.
