I will this semester with a local OB/GYN's office. It will take about 6 hours a week and will introduce me to the basics of this profession as well as how things are generally run in medical offices. It was very simple to get, I just called and asked!

Plan II and Dean's Scholars Honors in Biology. These are absolutely incredible programs, second to none as far as preparing me for medical school. The process of getting in was pretty easy. A few standard essays along with some extras for the honors program. Each had separate applications beyond that of the common application. Be EXTREMELY diligent about your Texas application. It can be confusing, but you need to create a word document checklist to make sure you have completely submitted all of your necessary items, and use your college counselor at your high school!

Lots of options for anything you're in the mood for. Whether your in a health phase or just looking for some pizza at 3am. There's everything from food trucks, sit down restaurants and one of a kind dining. Austin is known for it's great food and it surely won't disappoint.

Guys & Girls:
There's a decent amount of attractive students at UT. However, a fairly significant majority is comprised of greek students. A lot of the girls just wear oversized t-shirts and nike shorts that you can't even see most of the time. For the guys, I'd say there's a decent variety however most of the time you'll find either a total frat daddy or an engineering nerd.

Most everything is 21+ which is a bummer until you become 21. However there are lots of concert venues that are 18+ that you can attend.

Health & Safety:
Campus is very safe, but at night walking into West Campus can be scary. Never walk alone late at night. However there are on campus organizations that offer walks home.

West Campus are the closest but are expensive, small, old, and dirty. Far West is the best option for students with the cheaper prices, better amenities, and safe neighborhood. There are frequent buses right out your door!

My parents live pay-check to pay-check and unfortunately fafsa didn't give me alot of money this year. Despite that, the Financial Aid office at UT were extremely helpful. They gave me other loans as options and recommended scholarship sites. It has been very hard on me and my family because college is very expensive but the FinAid office at UT has been there to help me in anyway that they can and i am truly thankful.

I love my dorm, it is where i meet all my best friends, living on campus is a great place to make friends and be in a social environment. A down side is that it is quiet expensive, and my pot-luck roommate and i disagree alot.

Very good options, especially because Guadalupe St. is right near the University which is full of popular restaurants.

It's THE University of Texas. Athletics is one of the most important things here so everything is EXCELLENT.

Lots of choices, close to campus, all your essentials are near by. However, the apartments are really expensive close to campus and parking is way too expensive
College Junior 2013-07-16T03:18:58Z
There are on campus buses that go all around UT, they are free and run all day long. There are also metro buses that run across austin that are free for students, but they are a little scary at night. You get used to all of it though, and really the main way Austin people get around is just bikes and walking. I rarely use my car.
College Junior 2013-07-16T03:17:12Z
Austin is a very open city. We have a wide range of asian, african american, indian, etc as well as heterosexuals and homosexuals. At UT they are only worried about how well you do in class, no discrimination.

I wouldn't choose anything other than the fine arts school just because that opened my eyes to the real world. I saw that I wasn't the only talented musician and I had to look at other strengths/careers if I wanted to be successful in the music career. I am a smart person and do well with studying so thats how I came across studying music business, and then later attending law school so I can work within music copyright law.
College Junior 2013-07-16T03:12:01Z
My program is music so you have to declare an instrument. You then audition that instrument to be able to get into the music building. I was voice and it wasn't too hard to get in, but it is pretty intimidating. I would say sign up for an audition as soon as you can so that you can actually get to see the fine arts building before hand.

It is very open and straightforward. Offers a lot of opportunities, but you have to be willing to work hard and be outgoing to actually get those. Work load is moderate, and professors put a lot of the responsibility on the students which is typical. You have to have a strong set goal though, and not veer from your path to be successful.

There are plenty of them, but most run on proxies and so are not actual computers but take a portion of remote servers, so they're not as fast, or stable as a normal PC.

Awesome! Nightlife, parties, clubs. It's very diverse and lively, even at night time!

We play division 1 sports and everyone is very wrapped into the spirit. We have one of the biggest stadiums in the world- and in the fall, football reigns king!

There are lots of options here for those of all ethnic groups however, the ethnic students only make up a small portion of the student population. THe campus is really open to all diferent religions and sexual orientations.

There is TONS of different housing options from houses to apartments.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
