I Don't Know – I haven't attended but I've heard rumors that it's moderate.

I am less that 18 so I can't get into clubs anyway so I really have no idea.

Based on academics, you can get a fairly good amount of financial aid. Most scholarships though, really look into picking the best candidate to hand out their money to. My advice would be to get involved with the community as much as possible. That really helps distinguish a hard-working student among the rest.

Keep Austin Weird – What I love best about UT is that it is located in one of the best cities ever, Austin! There are so many things to do here, from outdoor activities, to nightlife, to campus life. You get it all here!

It's definitely hot here most of the time. I enjoy the heat, even though during spring/summer/fall you will work up a sweat on campus. It's really not that bad, and the buildings have AC. If you don't like warm weather, you probably shouldn't move to Texas!

If you want to live in a decent apartment that is close to campus, you don't have that many options. West campus housing is very close and convenient but is very expensive, and the affordable apartments are not very close to campus. I live less than 10 minutes driving distance from campus and luckily there is a UT shuttle, however it takes almost 40 minutes on the bus.

Rec Center Is Perfect – Gregory Gym is perfect. They have a good amount of workout equipment, large pools, and plenty of basketball courts. They even have rock climbing which is different, but very fun. Its is even open until midnight.

Texas has amazing school spirit and fan support for both football and basketball. We take pride in our athletics, and have great facilities as well.

At UT there are always enough computers to go around. However, in some places, printing is expensive. I would rather use my own printer than pay fifty cents per page in the dorm computer labs. However, some colleges offer a certain number of pages of free pages, which is great.

Keeping Austin Weird, and Entertaining – Austin is a city full of entertainment. Riding a bus can take you to countless restaurants, clubs, stores, and just about anything else a student would need.

Diverse, or in Sync – The University of Texas often hosts events that seemingly embrace diversity in all shapes and forms. However, within these groups are a homogenous people who are as unwelcoming as they claim others are to them. In effect, a reverse discrimination is common at this school.

Not Too Strict – There is plenty of freedom at UT. With over 50,000 undergraduate students alone, frankly the administration couldn't care less about your academic life as long as you aren't failing, or your social life as long as you aren't harming anyone.

Good So Far. I don't rely on the Health and Safety services much, but they are definitely available and I hear good things about them. I have never had any problems.

Greek life is a big part of campus life. I think the Greek personality type is completely different than the non-Greek. The parties freshman and sophomore years are definitely impacted most by Greeks.

Not Required – I never lived on campus, so I'm not really sure how it is. I've heard both good and bad things. I'm glad that we're given the option of whether or not we want to live on campus.

Classes at UT – If you have a more specialized major, your classes will be more intimate and more enjoyable. At UT, your education is what you make of it. If you work hard, your classes will be worth while. There are hundreds of opportunities that are offered, and it's up to you whether or not you want to take advantage.

It's Amazing Here – It's amazing at UT! I love it here and I found some of my greatest friends. Make sure not
To get too consumed with your social life because academics are not all the simple! Make sure you study enough to keep your grades up! But at UT, make sure you branch out or you can find yourself stuck doing things by yourself!

The Drag Is Where It's at – The Drag or Guadalupe street is a great place to find food. Restaurants include Potbelly, Chipotle, Pita Pit, Jamba Juice, Einsteins, Whataburger, etc. The costs are just like normal. There arent many student discounts but there are so many options!

It is extremely hard to find parking spaces. It is easy to find garages, but they are extremely expensive and inconvenient. They are also kind of far from campus.

I've seen a police car bump a longboarder. I understand the police giving him a ticket, but bumping him while he was riding could have been dangerous.

Fairly Good – My experiences have been average so far. It can be crowded at times, generally easy to find spots. Using your own laptop is much faster.

Nutrition Major at UT Austin – I find the University of Texas as a whole to be an amazing campus to live on and a great university to attend. The only issues I've ever had are with registration. The class availability is incredibly low and the actual process of registration can sometimes be more stressful than actually taking the course. I find all the professors in the college of natural sciences at UT to be extremely knowledgeable and I always find myself learning when I am in the classroom.

Campus Life – Living on campus is great in UT. There's pride and passion for the school and it's demonstrated at sporting events. Students fill up the stadiums with our school colors and support our athletes.

Health & Safety:
University Safety – The UT Austin campus is generally safe. Studens are comfortable walking around campus with their belongings. And like in any college, incidents do occur, but they are resolved in a timely and professional matter.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
