UT is located in a great part of Austin- it's only a few minutes from downtown by bus (which students get to ride for free) and about 20 minutes by foot. The city of Austin itself has SO much to offer and UT students have the opportunity to take advantage of everything here. There are a number of different restaurants and food trucks, shops, nature-oriented areas (kayaking on the lake and hiking), and so much more.
