What is the general impression of Dobie housing for freshmen? I've heard the entire spectrum, that it was the best or it was the worst, but any other input would be great.
I'm out of state and I will be dorming with 3 other girls as my suite mates. It might have a few bad reps, but that's mostly due to the high expectations people have for dorms. You are paying less to stay here for 10 months than to actually live on-campus. I hear the food is horrible, so I'm getting the cheapest meal plan since I will have friends who have apartments! You should really consider it!
Dobie is a decent place to stay for freshmen since its close to campus and provides a lot of amenities and facilities. The only drawbacks are cost and food options for vegetarians.
