Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

Most students agree that they have loved their time here at UT, and they wouldn't want to be anywhere else. College is the best time of your life, and I can't think of a better place to spend it than at the University of Texas. Students get a great education while having an awesome college town with everything at their disposals. Don't try to graduate early. Enjoy your time at UT-go cheer on the Longhorns at all the home games for all sports: football, basketball, baseball, intramurals. See the amenities that the Forty Acres has to offer-the Harry Ransom Center, go to our libraries and see our more than eight million volumes. Go to Gregory Gym and the Rec Center-you have a free gym membership for four years or more-use it.

I came to UT convinced that I was going to transfer to a school in California in the spring. I spent two days here before school started and I never wanted to leave, even to go home and visit my parents and high school friends! I couldn't leave because I was always afraid that I would miss something because there was always something exciting going on. If you are worried about the fact that UT is so big, don't. All you have to do is find your niche, and everything else should fall into place. You can find it within your dorm, apartment, organization, fraternity, sorority, or classmates. Although, at times, it may seem overwhelming, UT is not nearly as big as it sounds. All you have to do is make friends, which you will, and the campus will seem infinitely smaller. Come join us!

UT is pretty huge but luckily they have a bus system that goes all around campus and best of all it's free. The buses come every 10 to 15 minutes and the only problem I could see someone having is that it gets crowded. UT students also can ride the city buses free with their ID and that is pretty useful when you want to go downtown and don't have a car.

I feel UT is very safe. I have left the PCL at various times at night when finals come around ranging from 11 PM to 4AM and the only thing you will see that might be a danger would probably be a raccoon. And those guys will just leave you alone if you don't mess with them. There are also the emergency call boxes that are around so if anything happens those are there. Overall I feel pretty secure at UT.

People at UT are very good looking! The guys especially. You can find a range of people so don't let the idea that you will only find the typical frat/sorority person around scare you off. Everyone is pretty nice too and there are plenty of events going on campus where you can meet new people.

University of Texas - Austin Campus Dining was reviewed by zaclozano94

There are rare times when the food is delicious. However, my main complaint is how over priced on campus dining is, especially since 99% of patrons in the dining halls are poor college students.
