Under what circumstances did you receive financial aid?
that being said, do you have a job during the school year? if so, is it difficult to manage?
Yes, I have a job. I work at Gregory Gym. I've only worked there a short period of time now, but so far so good. You basically tell them how many hours you want to work. I figure that from now on, I'll have a job every semester.
what year are you?
I'm in my first year, but I'm technically a sophomore because of dual credit classes!
awesome! what are you majoring in (sorry for all the questions)
Nah, it's cool! Right now, I'm undeclared. I'm in Undergraduate Studies. But I'm (hopefully) going into the Comm school and majoring in Corporate Communications.
awesome! i applied for economics and international relations, but i heard that undergrad studies is a 3rd notstated major option for all that apply. is this true? and when can you transfer majors?
Yeah, it basically is. I got put in Undergrad Studies, I didn't choose it, but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise because I didn't know what I wanted to do. I'm not sure how all majors work because every college is different, but for Comm you can apply at every semester. Some majors all you have to do is declare the major. Admissions would probably be more help than I would about Liberal Arts.
im probably going to be put in undergrad studies as well, which i agree-wouldnt be a bad thing, but how would you say your course load has been so far? and what organizations have you joined?
again, sorry for all the questions, i dont have very many older friends currently going to ut, so anyone who helps is awesome
My course load hasn't actually been too bad. I take 15 hours a semester and still manage to have free time. I honestly haven't gotten involved a whole lot so far. I wanted to just adapt to classes before I dove in head first. But I'm looking this semester to join service organizations!
are you planning on graduating early?
Actually I am! I'm on track to graduate a semester early, but I'm shooting for a whole year early. Not sure if that'll work out or not.
i hope to graduate a year early as well with my ap credits and save some $, but have you looked into summer school? i heard ut also offers credit by exam, are those difficult to come by?
is the 3.9 unweighted or weighted? srry :P i cant tell the difference sometimes
What annual income would your family have to range in for you to qualify for need-based financial aid?
Sorry, I really don't know.
