Health & Safety:
I feel safe and secure when on campus with a few exceptions when people walk onto campus that don't belong there.

Financial aid dept was very helpful although there were not a lot of scholarships.

The shuttle works pretty well, but doesn't save you a lot of time when compared to walking briskly.

There's a great future in nursing and I am proud to be part of it.

The weather in San Antonio is a bit unpredictable, but if you dress appropriately you will be fine. If heat makes you cringe you live in the wrong place.

Dining is average, but I usually bring my own food to school.

Not enough apartments close to campus, but they appear safe.

The university provides a variety of medical field majors. The school is associated with one of the biggest hospitals in the city. I enjoyed my undergrad schooling there and am going back for graduate school.

The respiratory care program that I am currently enrolled in has been a very rewarding experience so far. I enjoy learning about the fundamentals of respiratory care as well as knowing how to assess a patient during a physical exam. The faculty and staff have been very helpful when it comes to making sure each student is understanding the material and one-on-one tutoring is always encouraged between the professors and peers. The course workload is quite rigorous. A full day of courses during the beginning of the week, followed by clinical practice and laboratory competencies during the latter part of the week definitely requires sufficient time management. Interacting with my fellow classmates and seeing their passion for working in the health field and helping others has made this journey a joy to be on. The opportunities ahead of me after I finish the program are endless. Everyday, I will be exposed to new knowledge and skills that will help me to build a relationship with my patients and provide excellent healthcare.

There is not much to do on campus and not a lot of food choices. During summers everything closes early. and students in the summer semester have to leave campus to find food.

I just started at UTHSCSA this week so this rating may be a bit premature but the experience I have had thus far with the wireless access has been subpar. I have had a hard time finding information on how to connect and while there was very clear information at the fitness center I was unable to connect at all during the two hours that I was there.

San Antonio is a great city with plenty to do for everyone! Love sports? Check out the Spurs play at the AT&T Center or see a cowboy ride at a rodeo! Take the whole family to Brackenridge park where the you can see animals at the zoo or stroll downtown along the Riverwalk or through the historic Alamo. Enjoy a date night filled with margaritas, Tex-Mex, and country dancing or gondola rides and then a romantic meal at the top of the Tower of the Americas.

I feel that the selection of food offered is expensive for college students.

The difficulty in getting into the medical school was tough but the staff, professors and students were friendly, helpful and responsive throughout the entire process.

The fact that the school is in the heart of the medical center.

The program that I'm in requires you to purchase your on laptop. Most students have their own laptop but there are computer labs.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
