I do not live within driving distance or living distance of the University of the Cumberlands. University of the Cumberlands was the correct choice for me because of its class and degree availability online.

There is no Greek Life on campus.

You must go out of Williamsburg to go to any type of nightlife.

Most everything on campus revolves around sports because almost the entire student body are athletes.

The food in the caf is not great at all, however it does have it moments where its average. The grill however is fairly nice and is open a lot later than the caf.

Technology on campus is great until everyone is on the network at the same time. The wireless network is very slow around 8:00 pm.
College Freshman 2013-11-11T20:21:40Z
Local weather does not affect class very often. In previous years there have been only a handful of days that anyhting has happened.

UC is very strict on acceptance of homosexuallity. Southern Baptism is not forced on you however dince UC is a Christian school you are forced to take religion courses and have to participate in convocation, which mostly deal with learning about Christianity.
College Freshman 2013-11-11T20:17:36Z
UC is very strict about rules and regulations being followed on campus. If you break them you must pay a fine of up to $100.00.
College Freshman 2013-11-11T20:16:06Z
I basically came here just to play a sport and that is what most people do at UC. Unless you play a sport or you live close by, UC is going to be VERY boring. People here are also not very outgoing and making friends has been a har ongoing process.

There are not that many options for off campus living and many students don't actually live off campus because it is a hassle to change your status from resident to commuter. Plus, there are not that many apartments available anymore.
College Freshman 2013-11-11T20:12:13Z
There are not many place to park if you are an on-capus resident, most of the parking that is relatively close to the classes are for commuters.

The housing is great if you get into a new dorm, however if you get into the older dorms they are smaller rooms and run down facilities.
College Freshman 2013-11-11T20:09:24Z
I did not qualify for much financial aid so i didin't really have that big of a hassle with it.
College Freshman 2013-11-11T20:08:30Z
You must have a car to go anywhere in the area. Plus, if you eant to go anywhere or do anything you must drive at least 20-30 min to London or Corbin, KY.

Business is a great major to be a part of at UC, it is one of the best programs at the school. Workload is tough because you weighed down with it very quickly. The facilities are nice in the newer buildings and there are not a lot of chances for internships or job opportunities in the area because the town is so small.
College Freshman 2013-11-11T20:06:47Z
The proffessors are very nice and are wlling to work with you, they get to know you very well because the class sizes are so small. The registration process was not tough at all and did not take very long.

Williamsburg is a extremely small town with nothing to do unless you like going to fst food restaurants for dinner. To go to a nice restaurant and have a fun night you have to drive at least an hour to Knoxville, TN or Lexington, KY.
College Freshman 2013-11-11T20:00:59Z
There are only a few place that allow you to actually sit down and have a meal, most of the places you will find in WIlliamsburg are fast food. You have to travel at least 20 minutes to go to an actual restaurant.

You don't usually see a lot of drugs or alcohol on campus, but that doesn't mean it isn't there.
College Freshman 2013-11-11T19:57:05Z
Athletic weight rooms are a usually a mess, athletic training room is nice, student center is centally located and always busy, campus is beautiful but small. You usually don;t see a lot of students just hanging out around campus outside, they are either in the dorms, library, or in the grill. No one has ever informed me of any campus traditions so I have no idea if there are any.

Health & Safety:
There are some questionable areas around the campus but usually nothing happens on the campus that is serious.
