For the most part, UIW's facilities may not be huge, but they do come well equipped with all the necessary resources students may need. The J.E. & L.E. Mabee Library, for instance, has great resources adequate for student research. Aside from books, it also has a large collection of videos available in DVD or VHS. The library also houses various computers and printers for those students who wish to do online research, and students and faculty can stop by Finnegan's Coffee Shoppe to pick up a Starbucks coffee to drink while they work.

The Wellness Center is very adequately equipped for students, faculty, and non-UIW affiliated people who pay for a membership to use the facilities. The Wellness Center provides exercise machines, weights, and an indoor basketball court, as well as classrooms for those who take a wellness class. Several group exercise classes are held in the center, such as cycling, yoga, and the popular Zumba, among others.

The Marian Student Center is usually a busy place, since many events take place in the Marian Ballroom, and the cafeteria is located inside Marian as well. Many students will go to the student center to watch TV, study,  possibly take a nap, or simply just hang out.
