The Greek Life at UIW is not like it is shown in the movies or TV shows. It is much cleaner and more wholesome than what it is presumed to be. Recruitment occurs two times a year, at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters. Rush week usually consists of a series of events and activities in which all of the applicants are encouraged to attend in order to get to know the current members of the organizations. Prospective members must also have completed at least 12 hours of college credit and have a certain GPA.

Being a part of the Greek Life at UIW is not about getting invited to a lot of parties. There is a lot of commitment involved. The Greek organizations participate in many community service projects throughout the year. In addition, each organization has different GPA requirements that members must maintain.
