At UIW, every student has his own thing going on. Sometimes you will see many foreign students hanging out amongst themselves. You will also notice those who share a common language, such as Spanish or Chinese, hanging out and conversing with each other. You will also notice the fraternity and sorority members hanging out with their "sisters" and "brothers."

There is quite a bit of dating here at UIW. If a random hookup is what you are looking for, you will find it, however, UIW is not particularly known for being a school with a lot of hookups. Most students will be in a relationship, but a lot of the time, it is with someone from another university in the city.

Many students tend to dress very casually, sometimes too relaxed. On an ordinary day, you will see most of the student population wearing sweats, basketball shorts, or jeans. The dress code here at UIW is very laid back. Of course, there is the occasional girly girl who will wear high heels.
