The U boasts a wide variety of fine computer facilities, and some of them go virtually unused. If there’s one that’s really close to your classes but typically full, don’t make a habit of waiting; take the time to find one with fewer people because typically there will be one within a five-minute walk that is available. The main computer lab in the Marriott Library has incredibly convenient hours, staying open into the wee hours of the night, even on weekends (and especially during finals). Unfortunately, that means lots of people come here, but with the addition of hundreds of new computers, finding one to use is never a problem. There are also computer labs located in the Union Building (main building on campus) and just about every building on campus has its own computer lab.

Most people have computers of their own, too. The University of Utah has a very good Wi-Fi system that allows you to access the Internet pretty much anywhere on campus, even outside. If you do bring your own computer and want to access the Internet, there will be a screen that pops up that wants you to enter your student ID number. Some students get by this by simply puting an "a"—it's simpler. In terms of printing, all of the labs on campus charge around 10 cents per copy, and you pay for it with your student ID card. There are ways to put money on the card so it can be used for other uses such as buying food.
