| Advice on Finding a Job/Internship | |
The U’s tremendous size contributes to its ability to provide job and internship opportunities to students. Finding a job on campus is easy, and a vast spectrum of jobs is available, from bowling alley attendant to research assistant, from writer for the school paper to tutor. Many people graduate only to come back to the U as employees. Visit career services early on; they can help you with your resumé, line up jobs and internships, and even conduct mock interviews with you. Also, visit one of several career fairs held in the Union building ballroom. Career fairs are posted in event calendars, in the Chrony, and in the weekly ASUU e-newsletter. Many departments have their own internship programs with college credit, so consult with them first.
