UVM is infamous for its “hippie” population, but all other types of people are here, too. The great thing is there are attractive people from all spectrums, and they break many stereotypes people often associate with who a person is. You are as likely to see a sorority girl raising money for the environment as you are to see a hippie driving a brand-new SUV. There are students sporting Birkenstocks, clad in J.Crew, active in government, or dealing drugs—and any one could be at the top of the class.

It is unanimous—both the guys and the girls are attractive. If anything is missing, it is the mental or emotional connection between people in relationships. As you will learn, freedom often results in sexual expressions, so hooking up and having fun seems to be the trend. There are certainly people in serious relationships, but many want nothing more than a casual relationship. However, friendships between guys and girls are everywhere at UVM—and rest assured that UVM has people who are both brilliant and beautiful. Don’t forget that Vermont is the home of the Civil Union, a place where preferences don’t have to swing in a certain direction to find company.

Guys and Girls

There are so many different types of people at UVM, so there is something for everyone. The majority of guys and girls are either outdoorsy, preppy, hipster, or a weed-loving hippies. UVM has a very attractive and fit population.

Cute Guys, but.....

Heres the thing, the girls are all really pretty, and there are some very attractive guys. Problem is, a lot of them are taken, or just got out of long relationships. You also have to understand that this is a new england school, and for a new york city girl, the lack of diversity (on both a racial and a political scale) is really one sided.

Vermont knows

yes, there are students that are unfortunate looking, but the majority of the people I've seen here have all been very attractive. The students are all naturally active, so the amount of overweight people is minimal. The girls usually don't put too much into their appearance, but still manage a sexy low maintenance look all year round. The guys are, in my opinion, perfect. Lots of outdoorsy guys, which means good bodies. Everyone is also sooo nice. Really laid-back atmosphere, you can get along with anyone. Best people I've ever met.
