Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

With a few exceptions, UVM makes you wait until you are a junior to live off campus. But, when the time comes to move into an apartment, students often find it to be a pleasant change of pace. If you begin looking early enough, off-campus housing is convenient, fun, and certainly well worth it. While most jump at the opportunity, not all elect to do so. Some stay on campus because they enjoy the proximity of everything, while others are wary of the stress it may take to move away—bills, groceries, landlords. Burlington is pressed for housing, so look early and make arrangements with friends.

With an apartment also comes a large responsibility that often includes a year lease. Yet for those willing, ready, and able to move off campus, the biggest problem encountered is availability, and rooms in Burlington can be few and far between. One reason for the housing crunch is the city’s desirable qualities, and juniors often stay in the same place for their senior year. It is fun to live in an apartment, but living several miles away from school or the city can be an entirely different story.

Expensive but Available

There are a significant number of apartments in Burlington marketed toward students, all starting around 600 a month and reaching nearly 2000 at the nicest places. The Burlington area has great night life for college students and is a beautiful town.

Ahh, the Joys of Then Walls and Small Rooms

So,get used to hearing everything everyone is doing, these walls are thin. they're generally small, but it depends on where you live. You'll either hate it or find something to love about it.
