It Is Not Bad

A few streets over is University way with a wide variety of eating places. There are some that you can find for a great discount, while others can be expensive. You can get coupons in the student guide from the bookstore though to help with a lot of the price

School Pride

UW has a lot of school pride and spirit. People wear their purple and gold proud especially for football games because the stadium is so huge that so many people can participate. The marching band gets pretty involved by playing around campus and getting people riled up for games. Obviously not everyone is into sports, but I think a lot of people have husky pride in general because of how great the school is and the teams have been pretty successful in the past anyways so even if you're not into sports you can understand why the school pride has been so traditional.

Nightlife at UW, Greek Nightlife

You will never be bored around UW thats for sure. If you are over 21 there is a variety of clubs around the campus and some really great ones in downtown Seattle. The big plus is that there are always late night buses, student nightride, and of course taxis galore. If you are under 21 there are always the Greek parties. They are fun and the atmosphere is a lot safer than if you were walking around the U-district. Its right next to campus so transportation is not an issue.
