Is it hard to have a social life if your not in a frat or sorority?

I've heard that because the UW has so many students, if you do not join the greek system, you pretty much get lost and its really hard to find a friend group. Is that true? Is the Greek scene a big part of campus life?

It could be, but the Honors Program and on-campus clubs are other options.

Freshman Interest Groups! :) I'm not entirely sure as to what they are/how they work but apparently they shrink down group sizes to be about 30 give or take. And I'm sure if you sign up for some of the more enjoyable classes and less "serious" ones then you should be able to make a nice group of friends~

No, there are a lot of Greeks on campus, but there are a ton of people that aren't a part of the Greek scene and you'll most definitely make friends.

No, there are many different ways to fing a group. There are clubs, classes and church groups. Also, ussually your roomates become your best freinds.

Not at all. Only a small percentage of the school is event part of the greek system. There are house parties, places to hang out at, and many other ways to have fun without being greek. While the Greek scene is big, its not everything.

No, the greek scene is A scene, but not THE scene. The serious students do not take the greek students seriously, so it depends on what experience you want from college.
