The freshman dorms at the University of West Alabama are great. They were just built before I became a student. The freshman dorm is built right in the middle of campus.

The process of getting into my Nursing major is kind of hard. I didn't have to do any kind of special application when I applied to the school. In order to get into the nursing program, I had to do two semesters of prerequisite classes. If I passed all those classes, then I would be eligible to enter into the program.

As a nursing major, I find that some of the classes are a bit hard but well worth it at the end. If I could do it all over again, I would. My goal is to find a job in a hospital as a neonatal or maternal nurse. As of now, I don't have any concerns because my school is very helpful in assisting anyone who needs help finding a job in their field.

There are plenty computer labs on campus for the people that do not own a laptop. In every building, there are at least two or more computer labs that hold at least 20-30 computers. The library is open later during midterms and finals, so if you need extra studying on a computer, it is available to the students.

The Greek life is pretty amazing at UWA. They help the community, have random little activities on campus, and they also have great parties. Most of the people in Greek fraternities or sororities do not act like they are higher up than anyone else. They only ones that do are the super girly sororities and the new additions to the different Greeks (freshmen). They encourage you to try and join, but if you do not, no one will judge you any differently.
College Sophomore 2013-07-04T15:23:00Z
The freshmen dorms at UWA are new to the campus, as of my freshmen year (Fall 2012- Spring 2013). It was an excellent place to stay, since it has it's own bathroom (sink, toilet, and shower), a kitchenette, and it is very spacious for two people. But staying in the dorm gives you false hope because none of the dorms on campus are as nice as the freshmen one.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
