it's pretty hard for someone new to the place to find parking that doesn't cost money or won't get your car towed away but must university students can't afford cars anyways

There could be better network reliability and it's really slow.

There are a lot of opportunities available at Western, especially Ivey. It's a case based business school and before getting in there are interviews and specific courses that must be taken. Two years of school must already be completed and an eighty average must be maintained.

The reason I came to The University of Western Ontario was because I loved what it had to offer. There are so many different courses you can take that will satisfy everyones interests. The campus is beautiful, the professors are helpful and make study sessions for students when they are available, they have an online web page where we can find all the up to date news, slides, assignments etc. There are many opportunities for people that live off -campus such as myself. There is a beautiful recreation centre, sports teams to join and a wide range of clubs as well.

London Transit Caters to Western – London's Buses have a fantastic system working with the University. A bus pass is included in your tuition and the schedule for buses running through the University correlates with lecture schedules. A bus to downtown/bars is 10 minutes. A bus to the closest mall is 15 minutes. A bus to the closest grocery store, Beer Store and LCBO is 15 minutes. The greyhound station and train station are only a 15-20 minute bus ride.

Greeks Improve Campus Atmosphere – There are several frats and sororities at Western but they are not a big deal unless you are in one. The parties and events they throw are amazing and they do a lot of charitable work.

North London Has Everything a Student Needs – North London has a lot to offer for students. Within a small radius you have the university, downtown, great nightlife, a variety of grocery stores, and London's largest and best mall. London is also known as 'The Forest City' due to all of its green space which is perfect for getting away from the books.

A True Life Experience! I am in my third year now and I can honestly say that coming to a university such as Western it has opened me up on multiple levels. An example is that before college I wasn't involved in many extracurricular activities. But now being at Western the ease of opportunity and wide variety of options is amazing. I am a president of a club! There is also tons of parties that go on at this school. Every week somebody has a kegger going on. Coming to university has made me feel like this is the best decision I've ever made in my life and I'm so happy I chose to come here!

Palasad's London Place to Be! Palasad is definitely the spot to be when with friends who want to kick back and have a fun eventful evening. The food here is great and they have really good prices. Hence why they are so successful. I can bet you any student attending Western knows about this spot.

Western is what you make of it – Academics at Western is very much varied. It is impossible to make generalizations about such a huge range of subjects of study. Some faculties such as MedSci are quite rigorous while others have a reputation for being "jock majors". Generally, the best professors in technical and scientific subjects are found on main campus and the best humanities professors, especially in Philosophy and Classics are found at the Affiliated colleges such as Huron, Brescia and Kings. Social sciences are really in between, and I personally don't know a whole lot about them.

Western along with Queens is one of those schools where white kids come to escape the "asian" schools like U of T and York. Basically, the "asian" schools are perceived as being too academic and "no fun". Since diversity as some think includes sexual orientations, then you could say that there is a lot of university-funded resources for LGBTQIS2 students and even a gay section at the Library.
Basically, diversity at Western only really includes different kinds of white people and different kinds of gay people.
Everything else is just lip service, or clubs with the usual 50 members or so.

But it gets a little boring once you start noticing that all of them (with the exception of a select few) wear:
a) Black leggings
b) Leather boots or Uggs
c) Top from American Apparel or UWO Hoodie
