I did not apply for financial aid for this past year.

Nothing happens on campus as far as parties. Majority of students commute.

The computer labs are great. But when you cannot get on the wifi to do homework, a lot of the students get angry.

Health & Safety:
The POLIECE on campus tend to be right there if an emergency happens. Sometimes the students aren't told what the correct ways of contacting them are.

There are so many places to eat around campus. If you're tired of one type of food, there are other options in the dining hall to choose from. There are healthy and no so healthy choices depending on what you're craving. They do tend to be overcrowded at times though.

Staff is willing to help you with the financial aid process. They let you know which scholarships apply to you and tell you when to fill out your FAFSA as well as how to figure out when financial aid is disbursed. I just wish I could have received enough to have all my tuition covered.

This school has a lot of friendly, down-to-earth students. The professors are very knowledgeable in their fields and work hard to help their students. The university is also one of the most reasonable in-the-classroom universities. There are many things to do here as well and the school tries to accommodate the working student with flexible schedules. Its biggest downfall is its lack of parking, but it makes up for that with its staff and support systems.

I lived in the University Apartments for the first 3 years. It was a good experience and they were fairly clean. They got remodeled my sophomore year there. The only downfall was the lack of parking.
College Senior 2013-10-10T14:26:40Z
The process was very simple. All it took was a simple application and checkingmy credentials and I was in. It may have been fairly simple for me too because I was already and English minor.

Health & Safety:
I never feel unsafe on campus. I appreciate that there are CFA(Call for Assistance) boxes all over campus. When there is an emergency or if a student needs assistance of any kind, they can use the CFA to contact University Police. Campus police also sends text message notifications to all students on campus with cell phones in case of emergencies.
College Sophomore 2013-10-03T21:32:39Z
If you know where to go, there are always computers available.
Wifi is also available for students all over campus, and that works really well as well.
College Sophomore 2013-10-03T21:28:56Z
Rain, Shine, or Snow...whatever the weather conditions are, attending classes is made easy on students because no one has to leave the building. All of the buildings except for dorms are connected. I rarely ever have to walk outside on a bad weather day.

Guys & Girls:
Well, I can't say that I have spent a lot of my time on campus observing what students are wearing, but one thing that I will say that I really appreciate about the student body at Parkside is the diversity of the University. Everyone comes from different backgrounds. The campus isn't very big either, although it may seem that way at first, so everyone seems to get know everyone after a while. I think that's pretty neat!
Parking on campus can definitely be a headache. I usually have to leave home 45 minutes early to find a parking space, and even then i don't always find one unless i park way on the opposite end of campus and walk.

There is no nightlife. Kenosha isn't a college town and parties on campus get busted before 10pm. There are bars in downtown Kenosha (about 15 minutes away) by car but you can only get in if you're 21+
College Sophomore 2013-09-22T15:47:04Z
It is okay at first, but after a while it begins to be bland since they don't change it up enough
College Sophomore 2013-09-22T15:46:03Z
It is nice organized and you can't really complain about what they have.
College Sophomore 2013-09-22T15:45:07Z
I like them because they are organized and have a nice archeticutrual feel to them.
College Sophomore 2013-09-22T15:43:29Z
It is there, but you have to look for it inorder to be a part of it.
College Junior 2013-09-11T05:33:07Z
It's a normal campus, but it's smaller than most. There is still plenty to do, they have great food and a lot of outdoors surrounding them, making the fall and spring awesome.
College Junior 2013-09-11T05:31:39Z
There are a ton of places you can get off-campus and still have an easy commute. I don't think they're terribly expensive, depending on what kind of place you're looking for. And plus, if you go in with one or two other people, it makes it more affordable.
College Junior 2013-09-11T05:29:40Z
It's average, they're not in your face 24/7, but when something is going down they know how to do their job.
College Junior 2013-09-11T05:28:41Z
I love the suites because it's geared more towards the upper class-men, the dorms are a great place to start living if you're leaving home for the first time. They're big and spacious, and very close to campus making it easier in winter. Also the apartments are really nice.
College Junior 2013-09-11T05:21:26Z
It's a very beautiful campus inside and out, but a lot of students commute which leads to a very crowded day but a more relaxed night. Which is nice in the long-run because you tend to get more work done.

The process of applying and auditioning to become a theatre major at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside was extremely nerve racking. It is however a very cool and fun process. The theatre arts program only allows a certain number of students into its program each year once you are in you don't have to reapply to be in it for following year, once your in your in. You need two letters of recommendation and a list of past theatrical works along with a recent head shot. For the audition itself you need to have two monologues prepared and ready to go. Preferably they need to be contrasting works like a comedy and a drama. If you can handle all of that and do a good job you shouldn't have no worries.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
