It's more diverse than other UW schools, but it's still not very diverse.

It's a small town, there are a few good options. Many chains (Subway, Taco Bell, Rocky Roccoco, Pizza Hut, Qdoba, etc.) However, you can use your student ID for some restaurants to pay for your meal using Purple Points which is just like using your ID as a credit card, which is very convenient.

House parties everywhere you go! Especially on Thursday nights. The bar scene however, I've never been too. But I heard it's a hit or miss with them. Most people go Tuesdays and Thursdays. But for being a small town, Whitewater knows how to throw parties.

It's a good atmosphere for a small town. However, there is nothing to do here. The closest shopping mall is 20 minutes away.

I applied but didn't receive any.

Many buildings need updates! Hyland Hall is the newest building, which is beautiful.
College Freshman 2013-12-03T16:41:29Z
I'm wanting to major in Criminal Justice which isn't offered as a major here, so I'm looking to transfer.
College Freshman 2013-12-03T16:40:11Z
The business major here is huge! Hyland Hall is the new academic building built for business and it's just beautiful.
College Freshman 2013-12-03T16:40:11Z
If you're not here for Business or Education, then Whitewater may not be the best choice for you. But, the professors are good for the most part. Most want to help you.

People drink all the time, it's socially acceptable here. People go hardest on Thursday nights, as lots of students go home on weekends. But, don't be stupid about drinking/smoking and you won't get caught. So many people do it, but the law enforcement will crack down if it's obvious that you're walking around campus under the influence.
College Freshman 2013-12-03T16:36:30Z
Just don't be stupid. Don't try throwing a party in the dorms because you will most likely get busted. The campus police here are pretty nice, just respect them.
College Freshman 2013-12-03T16:35:06Z
Not very good. It's usually a hit or miss.
College Freshman 2013-12-03T16:34:10Z
It's Wisconsin. What do you expect? But the campus has been pretty good so far with clearing snow off the sidewalks.
College Freshman 2013-12-03T16:33:34Z
There are plenty of parking lots around campus. It's just distance wise that is somewhat tough. You may have to park further away, which is a downside during the winter.

The football team has been number 1 in D3 for the numerous years. Football is big, but the attendance at the games could be greater. The athletic facilities are very nice. The Williams Center is huge and has many to do inside. Also, there is a gym in the basement of the Wells Towers (The large residential halls), It's not huge but it has just what you need for a workout. The emphasis on health here is pretty big!

We are highly ranked in almost every sport
Football team draws a crowd.
College Student 2013-11-25T19:19:32Z
Food varies in it's quality. Drumlin is generally good. Pstreet and Erberts become a bit of a grind. Esker is always coin toss on taste and quality.
College Freshman 2013-11-25T00:15:48Z
Things seem to be fine. If you are responsible and mature then you shouldn't ever have an issue.
College Freshman 2013-11-25T00:14:17Z
I love having the freedom and the choices. However your first time living away from home is always gonna have rough spots.
College Freshman 2013-11-25T00:13:31Z
The process really sucks but the school is willing to answer your questions
College Freshman 2013-11-25T00:12:52Z
Most are slow, and the wifi is very spotty. Ethernet cables for laptops are needed.
College Freshman 2013-11-25T00:11:07Z
You get what you pay for, but generally pretty good. If you are lucky you get roomed with/by great people.
College Freshman 2013-11-25T00:10:11Z
Most people go out a lot on Thursdays and stay up late on weeknights. During weekends the campus is pretty dead.
College Freshman 2013-11-25T00:08:54Z
Its the normal Wisconsin weather no matter is you are on campus or off.
College Freshman 2013-11-25T00:08:11Z
It could be better, but to feed tons of people everyday it is okay.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
