For the most part my school is pretty lenient. There is a wonderful campus vibe, with lush greenery to study on or play a simple game of catch. When rules are broken there is a zero tolerance and matters are handled quickly and efficiently.

Health & Safety:
Safety on campus is somewhat an issue. Not because of disobedient students but locals are the main cause of crime. We have campus patrol when called will walk students that feel uncomfortable to various places on campus.

Some Greeks had better living conditions than others. Being a non-Greek I didn't view Greeks any different. Their campus activities were entertaining and may have had me interested in joining at one point or another. Other than that Greeks on my school's campus didn't live up to my expectations of an organization.

The school was very efficient with getting me financial aid. Even when I did not receive enough the advisers were very helpful and knowledgeable about what I needed to do to receive more aid.

Our campus feels like a melting pot, it's filled with many people form different races, origins and creeds. I have had the pleasure of working with students from India, Ghana, china in labs and the student cafe. I felt that everyone no matter their background or beliefs were accepted in every way.

The student Rec center is so wonderful on one side we have an Olympic sized pool and another pool for leisure. The exercise equipment is always up to date and everyone seems to enjoy the facility overall. We have a three year old football stadium with distance learning classrooms and a state of the art exercise testing and athletic training equipment (DEXA machine, Bod Pod, underwater treadmill). The main library has been remodeled to fit the rest of the modern campus. In our performing arts facility we host a number of Broadway shows. The hub of the campus is our student center which also has a bowling alley and tons of places to study and it even dedicated an area for commuter students like me.

After my first semester I did not attend many parties. I had a poor experience and quickly found out that it just wasn't my scene. The parties were out of control, fights and other mishaps. However, no I.D. meant no entry. As for the club scene everything was close to campus and in later years the school shuttle provided transport to and from the downtown clubs.

There are a variety of ways to get to, around and from campus. Local transit provides reasonable fare rates and travels to near by cities. Students have access to two airports one within the city itself and another located only an hour away.

My freshman year there was absolutely no parking available. Since 2007, the school has created more parking decks and provided a shuttle bus for those that live near by in off-campus apartments. The cost of a parking permit is included in tuition, it seems to be a bit pricey and is a separate charge from the transportation fee (for the shuttle, which I rarely used). Being ticketed only happened to me once during the duration of my studies and I was able to get it waived. There isn't much need for a car because everything is in close proximity.

My school is located in unpredictable Ohio. For the majority of the school year it's nice weather. However, during the winter months lake effect snow causes school closings.

I like the food, just wish that it was open later. I enjoy the menu.

I love this area. It is a very well-off area with expensive houses. The area is gorgeous. The malls and surrounding areas are very diverse and multi cultural.

Health & Safety:
At night there are no lights in the parking lot and it is very unsafe for students who take late classes that end at 10pm.

I can't think of much in terms of Ursuline being "strict." There is a no-smoking policy on parks of campus, which I enjoy being a non-smoker. There is rarely an over abundance of police force. There was only one incident on campus when I lived there for a year, but I never have issues when I drive in now being a commuter. UC is not huge into partying. There aren't enough students who are interested really, which suits me fine. But I wasn't ever a "Hey let's get drunk under-age!" kind of person to begin with.

The closest I could find apartment wise is still twenty minutes away, and still very expensive. Pepper Pike (the city where Ursuline College is located) is a very upper-class area, so the housing is expensive. You can find decently priced apartments if you're willing to drive at least 20 minutes, but there is nothing cheap for broke college students close by.

The clinical opportunities I have had through Ursuline's Nursing program are irreplaceable. I have had chances to go to many big name hospitals in the area. My clinical instructors have more than not been employees of the hospitals I am attending, which makes it much easier to get to know the people on the floor and the way the hospital itself works. Ursuline is not just talked about as having a great nursing program: it DOES have a great nursing program. And for as much as it costs, it is all well worth it.
College Senior 2013-08-22T00:21:40Z
There are many people involved in sports on Ursuline's campus. I am not one of them.

I've never liked living on campus, but after seeing the options on University of Toledo's campus where I attended for two years and then moving to Ursuline, it was quite a shock to have limited options for dorms. The price sticker was quite a shock too. I only lived on campus one year and could not afford the "apartment" style dorms nor the single dorms that are available.

Unfortunately, Ursuline just had major damage to the gymnasium on campus, however, there is a new dining area and new rooms in the Pilla building which are very nice. The library is pretty nice, there are outlets for you to bring your own computer, but it can get slightly over-crowded during finals week. I lived one year on campus, but since I'm a few years older than most students, I decided to commute. Ursuline is not incredibly fair to their commuter students in terms of letting us know about cancellations with adequate time and I do miss a lot of extra activities that the campus puts on since I'm only on campus two days a week. I do love Ursuline, I've learned a lot and have made quite a few great friends!

I found Ursuline online after I discovered my first choice was already full and taking applications for the next year.
I wanted to start right away and Ursuline was able to accept me into the program and get me on the right track with my studies.
I am impressed by the coursework and the hours required to become a Nurse Practitioner. All of the instructors/professors I have had up to this point are very knowledgeable and strive to help us succeed.

There is a small hub nearby which is always bustling with activity. There is a gas station, a couple of restaurants, and Cleveland is but a short drive away if more activities are sought. I have only seen this as I drive in, there may be more activities/businesses on the other side of town.

Health & Safety:
I live off campus so I am not able to rate the college from that perspective. I am a commuter student and I am very impressed by the atmosphere. I do not feel unsafe any time that I have come to campus. It is beautiful and well-tended. The campus security is not an obvious presence but the atmosphere feels safe.

The current Family Nurse Practitioner program is continuing to grow and transform while we are in it. There have been a few growing pains along the way. The Dean of the Nursing College and her professors/instructors are extremely passionate about nursing and our success as future peers.

My college has the Wasmer Art Gallery which faculty and students showcase their art work which is very nice. The convent is still there where the sisters sleep and majority of the sisters are some of our teachers/professors. There is Lake Elisa which is behind the residence halls. My college is predominantly female but some men attend as well. Some students and myself volunteered in April at the Cleveland Food bank and St. Augustine's in Cleveland. My college is a 4 year private Catholic College.

Public transportation is readily available on campus. Since the school has on campus housing, there isn't a large need for shuttle buses to get around campus.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
